Thousands expected for ham radio event – Jacksonville Journal-Courier

CARLINVILLE — Amateur radio operators from across west-central Illinois will converge Aug. 4 for a “hamfest” that will include numerous displays, seminars, classes and more at the Macoupin County Fairgrounds.

The event will begin at 7 a.m. and run until noon.

General admission is $5 a person and free to those 16 years old and younger.
