12/12/2014: Harald, DF2WO, will again be active holiday-style from Praia, on the southern coast of Santiago Island (AF-005) in the Sotavento Islands group, Cape Verde Islands, as D44TWO between 12th December 2014 and 8th January 2015. LOOKING AHEAD -

27/12/2014: John, PU2KKE will activate Santa Catarina Island (SA-026, DIB SC-01, WLOTA 2981), Santa Catarina State, Brazil from 27-31 December, 2014 using the special callsign ZV5WSC. The purpose of this DXpedition is to spend time in the most isolated and deserted beaches, combining hiking, camping and ham radio. This will be approximately 70 kimometers of hiking. 06/02/2014: Philippe, F1DUZ will be QRV again from the E.M.E. Guadeloupe Club Station (WW Loc. He will be on EME 144 but also on HF (included WARC) and 160m. Two special event stations are going to celebrate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda (12 Jan 2015). He was a Hindu monk and scholar. He was the first Hindu to speak at the Parliament of the World's Religions in 1893 in Chicago. Manju, VU2SMS, operates AU1SV until 31 Jan. 2015, QRV on 40, 20, 15, and 10m on SSB and PSK31. Kerry W4SIG - 12/15/2014 to 12/16/2014 - SSB and CW

On Monday and Tuesday, Dec 15/16, I will be mobile in the volunteer state of Tennessee (sorry Gator!). Monday morning will be mainly boring interstate counties from Shelby to Putnam for a meeting. But that afternoon and evening I plan on heading the back roads over to Hancock/Hawkins to finish up WBOW for NN9K all QRP. Should be Overton, Pickett, Fentress, Scott, Campbell, Union, Claiborne, Hancock, Hawkins, then work my way back to Putnam. If it's not too late I may stick my bumper into Lee, VA, and Harlan and Bell, KY. Will have to see what driving condx are that time of night in KY. On Tuesday afternoon I will make the journey home. As usual I will try and work all the bands on CW and will run on 7188 and somewhere on 20 SSB. QSL via home call. [County Hunter Web]
