News for England South-East – 1 July 2018

We start with clubs that have several events this week.

Essex Ham has its online Foundation course this Sunday. Monday sees the club net on GB3DA from 8pm, with chatroom and audio feed at essexham.net. Next Saturday it’s the Essex YL Net on GB3DA from 8pm. Contact Pete, M0PSX, via news@essexham.co.uk.

Fort Purbrook Amateur Radio Club is giving demonstrations of amateur radio at Fort Purbrook Family Fun Day today. Monday sees an open net from 8pm on 144.275MHz. Details from Chris, G3WIE, via email to g3wie@fparc.org.uk.

Hastings Electronics and Radio Club has its net this Sunday and next Sunday on 144.575MHz from 11am. Details from Gordon, on 01424 431 909.

Loughton and Epping Forest Amateur Radio Society is operating GB2NWA this Sunday for the Air Britain Fly-In at North Weald Airfield. Thursday sees the club net from 8pm on 144.725MHz. Details from Dave De La Haye, M0MBD, on 0798 016 5172.

Radio Society of Harrow has its net on 1938kHz LSB from 12 noon this Sunday and next Sunday. On Thursday there’s a club net on 145.500MHz FM from 8.15pm and Friday sees a club night in the shack. Details from Linda, G7RJL, via email to lcasey100@outlook.com.

Surrey Radio Contact Club has a net on 1905kHz from 9.30am this Sunday and next Sunday. The annual barbecue is on Monday. Thursday sees a club net on 70.300MHz from 8pm and on Friday there’s a net on 145.350MHz from 8pm. Contact John, G3MCX, on 020 8688 3322.

Peterborough and District Amateur Radio Club has its net on Monday from 8pm on 1.980MHz. Tuesday sees a club net from 8pm on 145.400MHz. Friday sees the start of the three day weekend radio camp. Contact Alan Ralph, via email to secretary@padarc.co.uk.

Thurrock Acorns Amateur Radio Club has an open 2m SSTV net from 7.30pm on Tuesday, which is also the start of activities for RNLI SOS Month. Thursday sees the club net from 7.30pm on 145.500MHz. More information from Gordon, M0WJL, via email to acorns@taarc.co.uk.

On Wednesday Crystal Palace Radio and Electronics Club has its net from 8pm on 145.525MHz ± QRM. On Friday there’s a talk Compact VHF and UHF Aerials by Bob, G3OOU and Damien, 2E0EUI. Contact Bob, G3OOU, on 01737 552 170.

Hammersmith Amateur Radio Society has its club net on GB3LW from 8pm on Thursday. Friday sees a club night with on-air activities. For details, email m0xhs@outlook.com.
