for their 18th annual whitsun-activity from the village of Kongsmark on Romo

They plan to operate SSB, BPSK31 and maybe some CW on 80, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 10

18/05/2013: Ian, 2E0EDX/p, will be active on 18th May 2013 for the CASHOTA

18/05/2013: Look for special event station 5K3YL to be active from Bogota,
Colombia, Sunday 18th May 2013 operated by a group of YLs during the 'Ladies on
the Air Contest'. Activity is to honor women participating in amateur radio
contests, as well as nationally and internationally. Operators mentioned are
Sandra HK3JJB, Mery HJ3MCT, Paty HK3KFM, Janeth HK3PUE, Dora HK3IAI, Maria

18/05/2013: The members of Clube Radioamadores do Entroncamento CS5CRE will be
active on the 18th of May 2013 from Amieira do Tejo Castel (WCA CT-00086, DCFP
C-086, DMHP PG-010, DMP 1212), located in the Provice of Portalegre. They plan
to work with the special callsign CR5AT on HF bands CW, SSB and Digital modes.

18/05/2013: Radio Club Vendeen (REF85) members Phil F5TRO, Seb F4BHZ, Jean-Paul

as F6KUF/p from the Polder of Sevastopol National Nature Reserve (WWFF FFF-218),

18/05/2013: A non-stop castle activity for the Belgium Castle Award is planned
on Saturday 18 May 12:00 UTC till Monday 20 May 14:00 UTC 2013. Members of UBA
section ODE will activate Castle De Ghellinck (BCA OV-032, WCA ON-00364) on all
HF bands SSB and CW, also on 2m FM, using the call OT7G/p. The castle located in
Elsegem (WW Loc. JO10ST), Oost Vlaanderen province, goes back to the 16th
century and became the property of the family De Ghellinck around 1718. Although
the castle was surrounded with water, it was not really fortified. As so many
castles, it was pillaged during the French revolution. In the 19th century there
have been many structural alterations. During both World Wars there was a lot of
damage. After the Second World War the castle wasn't used any more and in 1973
the whole building burned down. The community of Wortegem Petegem obtained the
castle and the park. The remaining buildings are being restored, but financial

18/05/2013: Ric, DL2VFR, will use the special callsign OU1RAEM to activate
Samso Island (EU-172, DIA JY-008, WLOTA 0726) between 18-24 May 2013. He also
plans to activate a New One for the WorldWide Flora and Fauna program (OZFF-new,
to be decided). Look for Ric on the HF bands, mainly CW. QSLs will automatically

18/05/2013: Gil, F4FET and Rodolphe, F0FMI will be active as TM0AI from the
island of Aneret (DIFM MA-109), Chausey Islands (EU-039) on 18-20 May 2013. They

19/05/2013: Noel, OO4O, will be active again as OZ/OO4O from Langeland Island
((EU-172, DIA FY-019, WLOTA 0590) between 19-25th May 2013. Activity will be

19/05/2013: Boyko, LZ1QN, with others will be active from Zakynthos Island
(EU-052, GIOTA INS-015, MIA MG-138, WLOTA 0209, WW Loc. KM07IR) as SV8/homecalls
from 19-27 May 2013 on all bands and modes. This will include a Multi-Single
entry in the CQWW WPX CW Contest (25-26 May) using the special callsign SW8LZ.

19/05/2013: During the National Day of Castles (JNC) look for special callsign
TM5JST to be activated on 19th May 2013 on 80m and 40m CW/SSB. Activity will

20/05/2013: Once again Jan, PA4JJ, will be active holiday style as 9A/PA4JJ
from Porec, Croatia, between 20 May and 6 June 2013. He will operate mainly

PE1OFJ (9H3YM) to be active from Qawra, Malta (EU-023, MIA MM-001, WLOTA 1113,

and will use their personal calls as well as 9H25Y (QSL via PI4KGL), a very

03/06/2013: Father and son team Jeff, K5WE and Erik, N5WR will be active from

06/06/2013: Harald, DF2WO, will once again be active as D44TWO from Praia, Ilha

08/06/2013: Operators Drew N2RFA (C6ABB), Gene K2KJI (C6ALC), Ivars KC4PX
(C6APX) and Jay K2TTT (C6ATT) will be returning to Cable Beach, New Providence
Island (NA-001, WLOTA 1115, WW Loc. FL15HB), Bahamas, and will be QRV from 08-15
June, 2013. Their main goal is to participate in the ARRL June VHF QSO Party
(8-10 June 2013). Activity outside the contest will be on 80-10 metre SSB, RTTY,

14/06/2013: Ted, JF1CCH (ex-V73TS), will be active from Hachijo-jima [Hachijo
Island] (Tokyo Prefecture, JCG 10006), South Izu Islands (AS-043) between 14-17

within the boudaries of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and will count for

16/06/2013: Thomas, SM3DMP and Jan, SM3CER will be active holiday style as
OH/SM3DMP and OH/SF3A, respectively, from the island of Bjorkon (EU-101, Grid
Loc. KP02), Lansi-Suomi Laani, Finland, between 16-19th June 2013. Look for them
to be QRV on 30, 20 and 17 metres, mainly CW (split 1 - 3 up). QSL OH/SM3DMP via

06/07/2013: Tom, KC0W (ex-ZD7X, XU7XXX), will be active from the extreme
northern tip of Haiti (NA-096, WLOTA 0343, Grid Loc. FK39) as HH5/KC0W between
6-25 July 2013. He states: "This will be a CW only DXpedition on 160-6m using
vertical antennas over salt water. The operating location has unobstructed
take-offs to North America, Europe and Africa. Haiti has been under-represented

26/07/2013: Look for Gordon, MM0GOR, to be active on the HF bands as SV9/MM0GOR

27/07/2013: Ken, K6LA, will once again activate the 'PEI DX Lodge' VY2TT, nr

17/05/2013: SN100PSP honours the 100th anniversary of the fire brigade in

17/05/2013: Binic, a town in coastal Brittany, France, celebrates the yearly
arrival of their cod-fishing fleet. Special callsign TM5BIN will be activated
for this celebration between 17-20th May 2013 on all HF bands and modes. QSL via

20/05/2013: Bill Cross, G0ELZ, Chairman of the Marine Museum Society, Wallasey,
UK, and David Oakden G3UFO, have announced special event callsigns GB70BOA &
GB70WA. These will be activated from Fort Perch Rock at the Mersey entrance for
GB70BOA (BARLS A 4946X, ARLHS ENG-084, TWLHD WLH G-019, WAB SJ39, WLOTA 1841, WW
Loc. IO83LK) and the Leasowe Lighthouse for GB70WA (BARLS A 5109X, ARLHS
ENG-063, WAB SJ29, WLOTA 1841, WW Loc. IO83KJ) between 20th and 27th May
inclusive. Activity will take place on all band 80M to 10M and VHF/UHF 144 and
432 MHz all modes. This event is especially important to Liverpool and other
Merseyside hams because the battle was commanded form Western Approaches
command, now a premiere WW II museum in Liverpool. Hosted by the Marine Radio
Museum Society (Wallasey) resident callsign GB4FPR, operators from Wirral &
District Amateur Radio Club (WADARC), Chester And District Amateur Radio Society
(CADARS) and a contest contingent from the Tall Trees Group (G5D) are hoping to
make over 2800 contacts during this period. This is to commemorate the 70th
Anniversary of the Battle of The Atlantic in which over 2800 allied ships were
lost. GB70BOA and GB70WA are part of the official recognition of this event. A

20/05/2013: A special event station signing CS25ARVM will be active from 20-26
May 2013 in celebration of the 25th aniversary of ARVM - Associacao de
Radioamadores da Vila de Moscavide - Radioamadores do Concelho de Loures.
Activity will be on 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 metre, SSB and CW, and also V/UHF at

The weekend 17th/18th of August 2013 will see the annual "International
Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend" (ILLW). Up to now 220 stations have

- Special callsign GB4DNA honours the achievement of Sir Francis Crick and
Maurice Watson, who, 60 years ago, discovered the DNA structure. QSL via the

- Uwe, DL4AAE and Roman, DL3TU will be active from Liechtenstein as HB0/DL4AAE
and HB0/DL3TU on the second or third full weekend of September. Weather
permitting, they will attempt to operate from the summit of Augstenberg (SOTA
HB0/LI-004, 2359m A.S.L., 10 points) using CW only on the higher bands with an

- Tomsk State University opened its doors to students in 1888 (after an initial
founding in 1878), making it the oldest university in Siberia. Today its student
body numbers about 23000. The jubilee will be celebrated on the air with the

- The Border Guard Service of Russia was founded 95 years ago. R95PW and
numerous other special event calls will be QRV because of that until the 31st of
