4X266POPE (operated by Isaac/4Z1TL) and 4Z266POPE (operated by a
team) both mark the visit of Pope Francis to Israel. QRV from May

6Y, Jamaica:
Sergey, UT5UDX, will put Jamaika (NA-097) on the air as 6Y/UT5UDX
from the 20th to the 30th; during the CQ WPX CW Contest (May 24 &
25) he will sign 6Y3W. QSLs via RA4LW, direct only.

A2, Botswana:
Gert, ZS6AYU, returns to Botswana from the 16h to the 18th,
operating as A25GF on 40-10m in CW, running a vertical antenna and
400W. He will then continue to Zimbabwe (see below). QSL via

A9, Bahrein:
Operators Fawaz, A92AA, Rabie, A93AR, Ely, A93LT, and Fahad, A95FQ,
will operate the special event station A91WTIS on the 17th to draw
attention to the World Telecommunication and Information Society

DL, Germany:
Bensheim hosts this year's Hessia Day from June 6 to 15. Local club
stations DL0F (OV F49) and DL0BQ (OV F02) will hand out the special
DOK HT14 from May 17 to June 15. QSLs via bureau.

DARC's chapter in Chemnitz-Sued (S54) has supported their local SOS
Children's Village for more than 5 years now with donations and and
other charity activities. The club now reissues their SOS
Children's Village Award under the new name KIDS Award to raise
awareness of their activities. To that end they also run the
special event call DM20KIDS (1 May 2014 - 30 April 2015), counting
10 points towards the award. QSLs will be sent automatically via

Members of the DARC chapter in Magdeburg-Nord (W05) plan to put the
city's historic boat lift on the air from May to September as
DL0MSR (special DOK WSKM). A highlight will be the operation
on-site on September 14, Germany's European Heritage Day. The idea
for the whole event was suggested by Steve, G7DZX, of MIDCARS. To
date 7 boat lifts are to be expected on the air on that day. QSL

DM100CTK celebrates the 100th anniversary of Cottbus's clinical
centre, founded in 1914 by Prof. Dr. Carl Thiem, a pioneer of

E5, South Cook Islands:
Richard, N7HX, is on the air right now as E51NHX from Rarotonga
(OC-013), operating holiday-style, mostly on 20 and 15m in SSB. It

EA, Spain:
EG7MAM operates in the contest of the International Day of Museums
on May 18 from the Museo del Azucar de Motril -- The Sugar Museum

HP, Panama:
Members of the Associazione Radioamatori Carabinieri (COTA Italy)
announce an activity as HP0CC from May 20 to June 5. QRV on all
bands in SSB, CW, PSK31, and RTTY. QSL via IZ4SUC, LoTW.

I, Italy:
IQ9MY/p plans to get on the air from the Castello di Milazzo (DCI
ME001) on May 18, the last day of the DXCOFFEE-party. QSL via IT9CAR.

II3AC, operated by ARI section Treviso, promotes the Antonio Canova
Award, named after the famous sculptor. QRV until the month's end,
QSL via IK3GES (OQRS via ClubLog), LoTW, eQSL.

JA, Japan:
8J2VE, celebrating 20 years of the Nagoya Volunteer Examiners Team
continues to operate until March next year.

LZ, Bulgaria:
LZ100LS celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Levski Sports Club
in Sofia, QRV until the end of the month. QSL via LZ1XM.

OY, Faroe Islands:
Ingrid, LA8FOA, and Unni, LA6RHA, plan to get on the air as
OY/LA8FOA and OY/LA6RHA on May 14, en route from the International

John, W2GD, gets on the air from Aruba (SA-036, WLOTA 0033) once
more, working as P44W from May 20 to 28 (including the WPX

John, KK9A, arrives a bit earlier on the island and will get on the
air as P40A from the 17th to the 25th. QRV on 80-10m, mostly in CW,

Tom, PF4T, will be active as PJ2/PF4T until May 17. QRV on the high

PY?F, Fernando de Noronha:
Vlad, UA4WHX, is currently active as PY0F/UA4WHX. As usual, his

SP, Poland:
HF650S celebrates the 650th anniversary of the city Skawina. QRV

SN0GBS announces the support of the GBS-bank in amateur radio

T8, Palau:
Ken, JP1RIW/BM2JCC, is currently on the air as T88KH until May 14.

Fujio, JA1SVP, and Takeo, JR1GSE, will get active from Koror Island
(OC-009) between May 16 and 19 as T88FA and T88TH. QRV on 160-6m in

Weno (OC-011, Grid QJ57) is the largest island of the Chuuk state

VE, Canada:
CK3UG50 celebrates the 50th anniversary of the University of

VK, Australia:
Australian amateurs are permitted to use the prefix AX on May 17,
the World Telecommunication Day.

W, USA:
W9IMS calls attention to the Indianapolis 500 from May 19 to 25.

Z2, Zimbabwe:
After his trip to Botswana Gert, ZS6AYU, will travel on to the
Victoria Falls. QRV from May 19 to 23 as Z21GF on 40-10m in CW. QSL

Z8, South Sudan:
Massimo, Z81B, and Diya, Z81D, hope to lift their self-imposed
radio silence on May 10, depending on the local security situation.

Balkan VHF/UHF Trip:
Chris, PA2CHR, takes a trip through the Balkan area in the coming

EU-110; 9A; Istra group: A team of Croatian hams plans to activate
the island Mali Brijun as 9A14B from the 16th to the 18th. The

Vendsyssel Thy Island (DIA NJ-001). He announces to be particularly
