30/05/2014: The members of Clube Radioamadores do Entroncamento - CR5CRE, will be active on the 30th and 31st of May 2014 from Evoramonte Castel (WCA CT-00047, DCFP C-047, DMHP EV-036 and DMP 0704), located in the Province of Evora. 31/05/2014: On the 31st of May a Team of operators affiliated to Portuguese Navy Hamradio Club - NRA, is going to activate the Fortress of Our lady of Porto Salvo, also known as "Forte da Giribita" (WW Loc. 06/06/2014: A 10-strong team of Belgian ops will be active from Albania as ZA/ON6NB between 6-15th June 2014. Plans are to be QRV on 80-6m, CW, SSB, PSK and RTTY with an emphasis on the higher bands, propagation conditions permitting. 19/07/2014: Ric, DL2VFR, will be active from Enoe Island (EU-029, DIA SJ-028) and Karrebaek, Dybsoe og Avnoe Fjorde (WWFF OZFF-084) from 19th July until 1st August 2014. 25/07/2014: Michael, DB5MH, plans activity from Manitsoq [aka Sukkertoppen] Island (IOTA NA-220), Greenland, as OX/DB5MH from 25-30 July 2014. This will be a 280km solo DX-Pedition that will take him from Kangerlussuaq (also known as Sondre Stromfjord) to Manitsoq (aka Sukkertoppen). Michael will carry all of his equipment as well as food with him. There will be no chance for him to resupply during the tour. All electricity for his HAM activity will be provided by solar panels. Energy and weight constrained, he will be operating about 1-2 hours per day QRP-QRV using an FT817 and a very simple vertical ground plane. Michael will primarily be active on 20m at 2000-2400 UTC. 26/07/2014: Dom, M1KTA, will be active for the RSGB IOTA Contest (26-27 July) as SM7/M1KTA/p from Garpen Island (EU-037, WW Loc. JO86BJ), Kalmar county [Kalmar Lan], Sweden. Dom says that he "should be up and running both before and after the contest". This will be a QRP station, KX3 with vertical dipole 20-10m, 40m GP and 80m dipole. SSB and CW. 01/06/2014: To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Gamagori City (JCC 2015), special event station 8J2GAMA will be active on all bands and modes from 1st June to 30th November 2014. Gamagori-city is located in Chubu (Tokai) Region, southeastern Aichi Prefecture, island of Honshu (AS-007 WLOTA 2376), Japan. 01/06/2014: Special event station 8N6NTO will be active on all bands and modes between 1st June and 31st July 2014 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the National Theatre Okinawa. The National Theatre Okinawa was opened in Urasoe City (JCC 4709), Okinawa, in January 2004 with the purposes of serving as the point of exchange for promoting tradition and culture in the Asia-Pacific region by utilizing the topographical and historical features of Okinawa, while at the same time striving for the preservation and promotion of Okinawa's traditional performing arts, including a nationally important intangible cultural asset, "Kumiodori". 04/06/2014: The South Flanders DX Activity Group will activate the special event callsign F/ON6JUN/p on all major HF bands, using SSB, CW, RTTY and PSK from 4-8th June 2014. 05/06/2014: To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Goryokaku Castle (star fort) special event station 8J8150G will be active on all bands and modes from 5-25th June 2014. Goryokaku Castle is located in the city of Hakodate (JCC 0104), Hokkaido Prefecture, Oshima Subprefecture, on the island of Hokkaido, (AS-078, WLOTA 2967), Japan. 05/06/2014: Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, a team from the Radio Club de Vernon will be active as TM70BMC (QSL via F5IL) on 5-8th June 2014 from the historical site on Mont Canisy. 05/06/2014: Members of the Loos DX Gang will be active using the special callsign TM70DD (D Day) between 5-19th June 2014 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the allied landing in France. 06/06/2014: Special event station W9D will be active on 6-8th June 2014 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day. On 7th June operations will take place from the grounds of the First Division War Museum at Cantigny Park (Wheaton, IL).
