11/10/2013: In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Amateur Radio in Algeria,
look for 7T9A to be active on 11th October only from Colombi Islet (AF-094, WW

11/10/2013: The Calabria DX Team will activate the Capo Peloro Lighthouse (WAIL
SI-001, Admiralty E1806, ARLHS ITA-031, WLOTA 1362) on 11th October using the
callsign II8LH/9. Operator will be Max IT9AKC, possibly others. The lighthouse
is located on Sicily island (EU-025, IIA SC-001, MIA MI-107). QSL via bureau:

11/10/2013: Hector XE2K/AD6D, Dragan K0AP and Mike AB5EB will attempt to
activate Timbalier Island (NA-119, USi LA-002S, WW Loc. EL49SB), Terrebonne
County, State of Louisiana, during the weekend of 11-13th October, 2013. QRV as

11/10/2013: Bill, W4WV, will be back in Guantanamo Bay (NA-015, WLOTA 0358,
Grid Loc. FK29) as KG4WV, along with Al, W6HGF, as KG4HF between 11-25 October,
2013. They will be on the air for JOTA to put the local Boy Scouts on the radio.
They will complete the antenna repairs from damage by hurricane Sandy and a few
minor repair items to the shack. Look for them to be QRV on 160m through 6m

12/10/2013: Thomas, HB9DRM/p, will activate Naetteberg Dry Grasslands (WWFF
HBFF-015, WW Loc. JN47BL) on 12th October from approx. 07:15 UTC to about 10:15
UTC. Look for him to be QRV on 40 and 20 metre SSB. All QSOs will be

12/10/2013: Alessandro, IZ4AMS, will once again visit the island of Tinetto
(EU-083, IIA SP-003, MIA MI-113), Liguria, on 12th October, 2013. Activity will

12/10/2013: Dick, AD7AF (ex-E51WWA/E51WWB), will be active from Placencia
Village, Stann Creek district, Belize, as V31RL during the last three weeks of
October. All band activity with a focus on JA and EU. QSL via home call, direct

12/10/2013: Adhi, YB3MM, will be on as YB3MM/p from Bawean Island (OC-197,

12/10/2013: Joppy YB8XM/p and friends are also going to be on air this weekend
(12-13 October) from Saparua Island (IOTA OC-070) for those of you who missed
his last operation from Seram. Saparua is a new island for Nusantara Award as

13/10/2013: Alex, W1CDC will be active as 8R1A from nr Belvedere (WW Loc.
GJ16HG), Guyana, from 13 October to 1 November, 2013. The operation will be

14/10/2013: An international team of operators will be active as C82DX from Xai
Xai (WW Loc KG64), Mozambique, between the 14th and 22nd October, 2013.
Operators mentioned are Ken JN1THL, Don N1DG, Tom N4XP, Rob K6RB, Kevin K6TD,
Wey K8EAB, Bill N4NX, Ray N9JA, Charlie NF4A, Neil VA7DX, Tad WF4W, Charles

14/10/2013: Bill, N7OU, will once again return to the island of Rarotonga

14/10/2013: Fred, VK3DAC, will be active as VK9DAC from Lord Howe Island
(OC-004, Grid Loc. QF98) on 14-20 October. He expects to be QRV on or around

15/10/2013: Massimo, IW0HEU, will be active as IA0MZ from the Antarctic Station
Mario Zucchelli, Terra Nova Bay, Pennell Coast, Ross Sea Region, Victoria Land,
Antarctica (AA I-01, WAP ITA-01, IOTA AN-016, WWFF IFF-025) from about middle
October to end of November 2013. He will be QRV 20-17-15-12 metre SSB ONLY.

16/10/2013: Joni, YB9WZJ/p and Lucky, YD9RQX/p plan to be active from Waigeo
Island (IOTA OC-239) between 16 and 22 October, 2013. Expect them to operate SSB

17/10/2013: Mike, N0ODK, will be active from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, as
3W2DK between 17-24th October and again between 29th October and 2nd November,

17/10/2013: Anton, RT9T, will be active as 5B4ALB from Pachyammos, island of
Cyprus (AS-004, MIA MCI-002, WLOTA 0051) from 17 October until 4 November, 2013.

17/10/2013: Yuji, JF2WGN, will be active as AH2EA from Barrigada, island of

17/10/2013: Dan, HR2DMR, plans to visit and operate from Tigre Island (NA-060)
as HQ4W (call tentative) between 17-20th October, 2013. Operating time on the
island could be restricted due to Honduran Navy exercises. QRV on HF bands, CW

17/10/2013: An International Team will be active as IG9Y from the Luna di
Ponente residence, Lampedusa Island (AF-019, IIA AG-001, MIA MI-126, WLOTA 2312,
WW Loc. JM65GM) from 17-30 October 2013. They will be running 4 stations on 160m
through 6m (SSB/CW/RTTY). They will also be active in the CQWW DX SSB Contest

October 2013, including a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry in the CQWW DX SSB
Contest (October 26-27th) from CQ zone 15. Outside the contest, Mek will be QRV

22/10/2013: Frank, VP5/WA2VYA and Tony, VP5/K4QE will be active from
Providenciales Island (NA-002, WLOTA 2003) between 22-29th October, 2013. Frank
and Tony will also put in a Multi-Op entry in the CQWW DX SSB Contest (26-27
October), using the callsign VP5T. Outside the contest look for Frank to be QRV
on CW, with an emphasis on 160M, 80M, 10M, and the WARC bands, and possibly some
RTTY or SSB. Tony will concentrate on SSB, with an emphasis on the WARC bands.

23/10/2013: Gert, ZS6AYU, will be active from Roma, Lesotho, as 7P8GF between

23/10/2013: Mark, N2MD, is returning to the island of Grenada (NA-024, WLOTA
0718), W.I., and will sign J3/N2MD from 23-28 October, 2013. This year is the
30th anniversary of the U.S. intervention and rescue of U.S. medical students in
Grenada (1983) during which Mark operated as KA2ORK/J37. He will be joined by
Arnal, N9ACC who will sign J3/N9ACC. Arnal is a U.S. Navy officer (retired) who
was also involved in the 1983 mission. Plans are to operate both fixed and
mobile, 80-6 metre SSB and 2 metre FM, band conditions and time permitting.
Activity will be holiday style but mostly evening hours. QSL via LoTW only. [DX

23/10/2013: Budi, YF1AR/7 and Fan, YB0AI/7 will be active from Sebatik Island
(OC-295) between 23-28th October, 2013. QRV on 40-10m, mainly SSB. Participation

24/10/2013: On 24-29th October HB0/HA7JTR op. Laci will operate from Masescha
(1240 m ASL), Liechtenstein. He has 100 W, 4 band DunaX Gp for 40-10m, and
Inverted Vee for 80 m. Laci will take part in The CQWW DX SSB contest (October
26-27th). Before and after the contest he operates on the HF bands, holiday

24/10/2013: Robert, W5AJ, will once again be active as P40P from Oranjestad,
island of Aruba (SA-036, WLOTA 0033) between (approx.) 24-17 October, 2013. His
main focus will be on the CQWW DX SSB Contest (26-27 October), category TBD.
Robert will be QRV before contest on 40 metres checking out W2GD repairs. This

26/10/2013: Chris, 9Y4D, plans activity in the CQWW DX SSB Contest (26-27

CQWW SSB as a multi-single or Multi-two entry. Operators will include Doug
