06/03/2015: The SEISA/Foundation for Global Children has announced that,
after "many months of careful planning and negotiations", their Eritrea Project
2015 will include an amateur radio DXpedition to be conducted from Asmara on
6-17th March. A multi-national team of nine operators (Zorro JH1AJT, Paul N6PSE,
Franz DJ9ZB, Jay JA1TRC, Yuki JH1NBN, Kazu JH1OGX, Thomas NQ7R, Dmitri RA9USU
and David WD5COV) will be active with four stations with amplifiers, beam
antennas for the high bands (20-10m) and four verticals for the low bands

06/03/2015: Operators Tim VK4HFO, Chris VK3FY and Christian EA3NT will be
active from Flinders Island (OC-195, WWFF VKFF-175, Grid Loc. QE49), Bass
Strait, Tasmania State, as VK7FG between 6-9th March, 2015. They will run three
stations using yagi beams and amps on 160-6 metres depending on propagation.

10/03/2015: The Radioamateur Association of the Democratic Republic of the
Congo (ARAC) has invited the Italian DXpedition Team for a short stay in
Kinshasa (WW Loc. JI75PP) between 10-25th March 2015. The purpose of the
activity will be theoretical and practical training and refresher courses for
the Amateurs of the DR of the Congo. The callsign of the operation will be
9Q0HQ. Operators mentioned are Silvano I2YSB, Vinicio IK2CIO, Angelo IK2CKR,
Marcello IK2DIA, Stefano IK2HKT, Mac JA3USA (one week only) and Alfeo I1HJTK.
The HF pilot station will be Art, IK7JWY, and the 50 Mhz pilot station will be

11/03/2015: Alan, G3XAQ will be active as 5X1XA from Kampala, Uganda, on
11-18 March. He will operate CW mostly on the high bands and "especially in the
new SARL Africa DX Contest" that will run from 1200 UTC on 14 March to 1200 UTC

11/03/2015: The Black Mamba Contest and DXpedition Team will be active
from Nkhotakota, Republic of Malawi, as 7QAA. They plan to have around 20-24
operators, and will operate in two teams. The first team will be active from
11-21 March 2015 on 160-10 metre CW only, plus 6 metre CW. The second team will
be active between 22 March and 1 April on 160-10 metre SSB and RTTY only,
including an entry in the CQ WPX SSB Contest. So far, the operators include
Chris DL2MDU, Emil DL8JJ, Jo DJ3CQ, John GW4SKA, Frosty K5LBU, Dick K9APW, Neil
VA7DX, Don VE7DS, Keith VE7KW, Bob W5UQ, Sam ZS6BRZ and Roger ZS6RJ. The ZS

12/03/2015: Nobuaki, JA0JHQ will be active from the Likualofa Beach
Resort, Kanokupolu, island of Tongatapu (OC-049, WLOTA 0328), Kingdom of Tonga,
as A35JR between 12-16th March 2015. QRV vacation style on 30-10 metre CW and
SSB - if possible 20m CW. Kanokupolu is a small village in the western district

Contest - BERU (14-15 March) from Lilongwe, Malawi, using the callsign 7Q7BP.
Single-Op/All-Band entry with a Kenwood TS-480HX 200 watts, and several
antennas, including a 5 bander spider beam up 45 feet, an R-8 vertical on a 20
foot pole, and a commercial multi-band dipole in an inverted vee configuration,

28/03/2015: The Union Dominican de Radioaficionados (UDRA) in cunjuntion
with Loma del Toro DX Contest Group will be participating in the CQWW WPX SSB

01/04/2015: To celebrate the 90th IARU anniversary, special event station
AM890CNR will be active on all HF bands, using SSB, RTTY, PSK and JT65 during
the entire month of April 2015. QRV from the Santa Maria de Guia city (WW Loc.

01/05/2015: The Cunard vessel RMS Lusitania was torpedoed and sank off the
Old Head of Kinsale Ireland on the 7th May 1915. The Radio Officers Association
ROARS will be running a month long event from the 1st - 31st May 2015 to
commemorate the sinking of this vessel from the Planet Light Vessel currently
berthed in Canning Dock Liverpool England. This once in life time event will be
using the call sign GB100MFA, MFA being the call letters allocated to the
Lusitania. The QTH of Liverpool was chosen as this was the Lusitania's
registered port, and her final destination. It is hoped that two stations will
be active and therefore both CW and SSB can be catered for on ALL BANDS
depending upon conditions and staffing levels. QSL direct via G0UVX QTHR.

25/06/2015: Chris W3CMP, Terry K4RX and Dick K5AND will be active as
PJ5/homecalls from St. Eustatius Island (NA-145, WLOTA 1851, WWFF PAFF-0025)
between June 25 to July 6, 2015. Emphasis on 6m, but other bands also used

15/07/2015: Ariel, NY4G will be active from Miquelon Island (NA-032, DIFO
FP-002, WLOTA 1417, Grid Loc. GN17) as FP/NY4G between 15-17th July 2015. He
will mainly use wire vertical antennas and 100 watts, due to Air Saint-Pierre
baggage limits and will do CW primarily, some RTTY and some SSB if propagation
permits. Ariel anticipates having 80-10 metre capability. The main bands are
going to be 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 metres as propagation allows. Radio:

16/09/2015: A group of UK operators, most of whom formed the TX6G
(Austral) expedition in 2014, will be active from Niue Island (OC-040, WLOTA
2139, WWFF ZLFF-0021) for two weeks in the second half of September 2015. The
team will comprise Don G3BJ, Chris G3SVL, Nigel G3TXF, David G3WGN, Mike G3WPH,
Hilary G4JKS and Justin G4TSH. Activity is planned for 160 to 10 metre CW, SSB

23/11/2015: Mats, RM2D (SM6LRR) will be active from Phan Tiet (WW Loc.
OK40DW), Vietnam, as XV2D between 23rd November and 5th December 2015. This is a
holiday style expedition, but with more serious focus on CQWW DX CW Contest
(28-29 November). Entry category to be defined later. Before and after the
contest look for Mats mainly on CW and SSB. Possibly DIGI modes too. Automatic

NAURYZ DX CONTEST 2015 -
Dear colleagues,
Let me to to introduce to you the 'Nauryz DX Contest':
The first and the only Central Asian DX contest on HF will take place on
March 14 starting at 0800z and finishing at 1359z on the same day.
The contest aims at promoting HF activity among the Central Asian hams of
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and, in future, Turkmenistan.
Nevertheless participants from all over the world are welcome.
The contest is dedicated to celebrating the spring holiday Nauryz (Nowruz,
Nooruz) - the ancient oriental holiday.
This year will be the third time the contest is held. More information can
