International Marconi Day 2015:
Special event stations world wide will celebrate Guglielmo
Marconi's birthday on April 25 (1874) from historic sites. See the

Advance Notice: 5th Contest University at HAM Radio 2015:
DARC, BCC, and RRDXA, are again planning a contest university for
the first day of this year's HAM RADIO at Friedrichshafen (Friday,
June 26). The event's principal organiser this year is Uli (DJ2YA),
since Michael, DL6MHW, is now occupied with preparations for the
WRTC 2018 in Germany. The basic structure of the contest university
remains the same, offering lectures and seminars for both beginners
and advanced contesters in parallel panels. The participation fee
of EUR 50 (EUR 25 for DARC members, young operators, and foreign
participants) includes a bag with relevant course materials and
even a CTU shirt. Registering at

Telegraphy - Intangible Cultural Heritage Germany put CW on its
list of Intangible Cultural Heritage on December 12 last year.
DL0ICH celebrates this on the bands and also tries to promote the
cause with UNESCO in Paris. A major force behind the German success
was Johannes, DK8JB, former DXMB/NL editor. DL0ICH is also going to
take part in the upcoming CW Fieldday in June; QSL via bureau,
eQSL. The card design, use of the logo etc will be in accordance
with the German UNESCO committee society.

Juan de Nova (FR/J):
The FT4TA, although busy wrapping up their latest expedition, is
already thinking about their next destination. They are planning to
activate Juan de Nova (FR/J) in March 2016. The last team on the
island was TO4E/TO4WW in 2003. Before that, the last major
DXpedition took place in the 1980s. Hence the island ranks very
high in most-wanted lists. Right now the group aims to get on the
air for 15 days with 10 operators. See the website for more

Palmyra DXpedition 2016:
Craig (K9CT) and Lou (N2TU) are planning an expedition to Palmyra
(KH5) for January 2016. After long negotiations they now have a
permit to activate Cooper Island. At the moment their team consists
of Craig/K9CT, Lou/N2TU, Jerry/WB9Z, Tom/ND2T, Mike/K9NW,
Ralph/K0IR, John/K6MM, Bob/K4UEE, Hal/W8HC, Dick/W3OA, Jim/N9TK,
and Glenn/W0GJ.
