Ham Radio Club to Host Event for Kids on Jan. 8 in New Providence:

eHam.net News — A Ham Radio, on-the-air operating event for kids, will be held on Sunday January 8, 2017, at the New Providence NJ Community Center. NPARC, the Amateur Radio Club serving the Watchung Hills Area, will set up two operating ham radio stations in the DeCorso Community Center, 15 East 4th Street, New Providence, on Sunday, January 8. Kids of all ages from Berkeley Heights, New Providence and surrounding communities are invited to participate, and make direct radio contacts with other kids at Ham Stations all over the USA. In the past there have been contacts made to the eastern United States, as far west as Oklahoma, Colorado and California, and to foreign countries such as Ireland and Australia. This year we expect to make many contacts with stations around the world.
