Quiet solar wind blows at speeds of 250-350 km/second under relatively quiet conditions. Stormy solar winds can blow at speeds greater than 700 km per second!

The solar wind is a stream of charged particles emanating from the Sun. The magnetic field of the Sun is usually pulled out along with the solar wind.
