Hyderabad: In a unique initiative, the National Institute of Amateur Radio (NIAR), Hyderabad organised a week long amateur radio training programme for 40 young vedic scholars of Jeeyar Integrated Vedic Academy (JIVA), Shamshabad. The amateur radio training programme, which was inaugurated by Chinna Jeeyar Swamy on Tuesday, also included training for station operator certificate examination. During the inaugural, Swamy said attempts were on to train close to 1,000 students in government schools on operating ham radios.
