Members of the “Discolo DX Group” will be QRV as XR208A, XR208B,
XR208C and XR208D during September on SSB, PSK31 and FT8 to
celebrate the 208th anniversary of the first government of Chile as

EA, Spain:
The special event station EG5VCE will be QRV until September 17 on
the occasion of the “VUELTA of Spain”. QSL via LoTW and eQSL.
EX, Kyrgyzstan:
A team of 12 operators from Poland is planning to get on the air
from Kyrgyzstan (Grid MN92ci) from September 1 to 10 on 80 – 6m

F, France:
Philippe/F5PTA will bring the callsign TM70ONU on the air from
Lyon, starting September 1st to remember the 70th anniversary of
the universal declaration of human rights of the United Nations on

FG, Guadeloupe:
Laci/HA0NAR plans to be active as FG/HG0R from Guadeloupe (NA-102)
from August 27 to September 7 on 160m – 6m CW/SSB/RTTY. QSL via
ClubbLog OQRS and HA0NAR.
HK, Colombia:
After 10 weeks in DL, Lothar/DK8LRF is back in Colombia and QRV as
HK3JCL until March 2019 from Finca Ligia (Grid FJ34fg), mostly in
the evening on 20m SSB. QSL via DK8LRF (d/B).
I, Italy:
The “ARI Fidenza Club” (IQ4FE) will activate various special
callsigns in 2018 to remember milestones of radio history. In
September, II4LNZ will be used to remember Heinrich Lenz. QSL via

LZ, Bulgaria:
In September, the “Bulgarian Radio Club Blagovestnik” (LZ1KCP) will
use the specal callsign LZ920MLC for their annual “All Saints”

KH2, Guam:
After attending the “JARL Ham Fair” in Tokyo, Martti/OH2BH will be
QRV as AH3D/KH2 from August 28 to September 3 from Guam (OC-026).
He will also take part in the All Asian DX Contest with a new

OM, Slovak Republic:
The 80th anniversary of the city Partizanske will be celebrated by
members of the Radioklub KAPA (OM3KAP) with the special callsign
OM80PAR until the end of the year. QSL via OM3PA.
SP, Poland:
The 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence will be celebrated
with the following callsigns from September 1 to November 11:
SN100L, SN100JH, SN100S, SN100RD, SN100RB, SN100JP, SN100IP,
SN100PW, SN100PS and SN100ID.
SP, Poland:
Another activity to celebrate 100 years of Poland’s independence is
SP100PAZ, active from September 1 until the end of the year. QSL

SP, Poland:
The town Wolcieszow (WW Loc. JO70xw, SPPA D-ZT, PGA ZT01) was
founded 750 years ago. This is celebrated with the callsign SO750W,
from September 1 until the end of the year. QSL via LoTW and eQSL.
T8, Palau:
Nobu/JA0JHQ will visit the VIP Guest Hotel on Kotor Island (OC-009,
WW Loc. PJ77fi) again from August 31 to September 3 and operate as
T88PB, mostly during the All Asian DX SSB Contest. Outside the
contest he will mainly be active on CW (focus on 30m) and FT8. QSL

TA, Turkey:
Golkem/TA7AZC and Furkan/TA7AOF, members of the “Ankara Youth
Contest Team” will be QRV as TC2F from August 29 to September 4,
including the All Asian DX Contest. QSL via bureau, LoTW.
VK, Australia:
The 100th anniversary of the first radio contact between Australia
and the United Kingdom will be celebrated in September. On this
occasion there will be special callsions with the pattern
VI#MARCONI (# is the district) during the month of September. The
“Hornsby and Districts Amateur Radio Club” will additionally bring
VK100MARCONI on the air. More information about this activity and

Eberhard Warnecke/DJ8OT – sk:
The DIG (Diploma Interest Group) announces, with great regret and
sadness, the passing of their founding member Eberhard Warnecke,
DJ8OT (DIG 29). Before his DIG activities, Eberhard was already
engaged in CHC and later held many official functions within the
DARC. He served as the secretary of DIG for almost 40 years and due
to his outstanding commitment he received the golden badge of
honour of the DARC, the badge of honor of the DIG and was elected a
honorary member of the DARC. He was also a recipient of the Federal
Cross of Merit of Germany for his contributions to the German-Israeli

RSGB Convention 2018:
The RSGB convention will take place from October 12 to 14. The
program includes a presentation of new IOTA groups by Roger/G3KMA.
Diploma “70 Years WAE”:
The special diploma which celebrates 70 years of the DARC WAE award
can be worked between August 10 and November 11, 2018. Contacts can
only be confirmed by the DARC Community Logbook (DCL). There are
three categories: Bronze for 35 countries, silver for 50 countries
and gold for 65 WAE countries. A special trophy is issued for
working 70 WAE entities. The special station DJ70WAE is an
obligatory contact and can be substituted for one WAE country. The
award manager is DK5ON.

to Chatham Islands (OC-038) as ZL7X between October 16 and 22 on

A team of 15 OPs, lead by Rolf/DL7VEE, will be active from Macao
