9A - Sergio, IZ3NXC will be active as 9A8NXC from Rab Island (EU-136)

A2 - Roger, ZS6RJ will be active as A25RJ from Botswana on 15-19 June.

A5 - Once again Yuki, JH1NBN will be active as A52W from Bhutan on 9-19
June. This is a business trip, and he will be QRV in his spare
time with 100 watts and a wire antenna, mostly on SSB. QSL via

EI - Michael EI3KG, Sean EI4GK, Adam EI5JQ, Robert EI6KD, Oleg EI7KD,
Dave EI9FBB, Arek EI9KC, Jacek M0PLX, Waldi SP7IDX, Mietek SP9NWN
and Christopher SQ7NNM will be active as EJ0PL from Inishmore,
Aran Islands (EU-006) on 23-29 July, IOTA Contest included. They
plan to be QRV with three stations on 80-6 metres CW, SSB and

F - Once again (for the 62nd year) the Association des Radioamateurs
de la Sarthe will operate a special event station for the 24 Hours
of Le Mans. Look for TM24H on 10-23 June, with activity on SSB, CW

F - Amateur Radio Club F6KAP will be active as TM350FDR from La
Rochelle on 15-16 June. The suffix stands for Filles Du Roy
(King's Daughters), and refers to the young French women who
immigrated to New France as part of a program sponsored by Louis
XIV to boost Canada's population. The first group of 36 women left

H4 - Greg, VK1AI is once again active as H44PA from Honiara,
Guadalcanal Island (OC-047) until 30 June. He likes CW and digital
modes, with some occasional SSB. QSL via home call, direct or

H4 - The H44IOTA activity from the Russel Islands (OC-168), which was
planned to start on 6 June, has been delayed. Heavy seas are
delaying the team's voyage, and on 7 June they said to expect to
reach their destination "in two days". This delay is likely to
affect also their plans for OC-158, originally scheduled for 10-13

I - Alex IK8YFU, Domenico IW8RAO and Salvatore IZ8CZR will be active
as II8LH from the lighthouse at Capo Vaticano (WAIL CL-005 and
ARLHS ITA-047) on 8 June. QSL via HB9FHZ (bureau) or IK8YFU

I - Weather permitting, IT9BWD, IT9BWW, IT9CVO and IT9HBS will be

I - Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Project DX Team, special
callsign IB2PDT will be active from 21 June to 7 July and again
from 20 September to 6 October. QSL via bureau to IQ2LZ. [TNX

I - I8LWL, IK6JRI, IK7JWX, IT9DFI and IZ8LFI will be active from
Ustica Island (EU-051) on 24-29 July, including an entry in the
IOTA Contest as IE9/IK6JRI. Outside the contest they will
concentrate on 30, 17, 12 and 6 metres (WWL JM68oq), and digital

JA - Ted, JF1CCH will operate mainly CW as JF1CCH/1 from Hachijo Island
(AS-043) on 14-17 June. QSL via home call. [TNX DX World]
JA - Taka, JA8COE will be active as JA8COE/8 from Yagishiri Island
(AS-147) on 20-24 June (weather permitting) and again on 25-29
July for the IOTA Contest. QSL via home call, direct or bureau.
JW - Svein, LA9JKA will be active as JW9JKA from Bear Island (EU-027),
Svalbard for six months (from mid-June to mid-December). QSL via

KG4 - Look for KG4RX (QSL via K4RX), KG4TO (QSL via AC4TO) and KG4AS
(QSL via N4SIA) to be active from Guantanamo Bay on 22-29 June.
They will operate CW on 6 metres and on the HF bands. QSL via home

KH0 - Tony, JA6CNL will be active as KH0N from Saipan (OC-086) on 13-17
June. He will operate on the HF bands and will participate in the

LY - Heiko DG1BHA, Fred DH5FS, Olli DH8BQA, Oliver DL1EJA and Uwe
DL3BQA will be active as LY44WFF from Klaipeda and the Nemunas
Delta Regional Park on 12-18 June. They will put a special
emphasis on 6 (look for them around 50183 kHz SSB and CW) and 2
metres, but will also be QRV on the HF bands "around the usual WFF
frequencies". QSL via DH8BQA.
PY - Special event call PS2013CCB will be in use on 15-30 June during
the 9th FIFA Confederations Cup football (soccer) tournament. Look
for activity on 40-10 metres SSB, CW and digital modes. QSL via

SM - Lars, SM6CUK will be active as SA6G/7 from Ven Island (EU-137) on

SP - Back in 1338 the town of Blonie received city rights under the
Magdeburg Law. To commemorate that event, special station SN675B
is active until 30 June. QSL via bureau to SP5KOG. [TNX SP5CGN]
T33 - Announced QRV dates for the T33A DXpedition to Banaba Island
(OC-018) [425DXN 1143] are 5-18 November. The large multi-national
team (AA4FL, AD6E, DJ5IW, DK1II, DL5EBE, DL6KVA, HA0NAR, K3VN,
KD6XH, N1EMC, N6HC, N6HD, N9NS, VK3FY, W2IJ, W6KK, WA1F, WA1S and
WA6FGV) will have six stations at two sites operating CW, SSB and
RTTY on 160-10 metres. QSL via W2IJ (OQRS on Clublog). Bookmark

TN - Arie PA3A, Ad PA8AD, Angelina PA8AN and Marian PD1AEG will be
active as TN5MS from Pointe Noire, Republic of the Congo from 28
September to 11 October. They plan to operate on 160-10 metres CW,
SSB and RTTY, using three stations with amplifers and several beam
and vertical antennas. The team will provide support and raise
funds for a Mercy Ships Charity Project. QSL via PA3AWW, direct or
bureau. The log will be uploaded to LoTW 6 months after the

TU - Dim, F5SWB will be active as TU5DF from Cote d'Ivoire from late
June until the end of October. He will operate mainly CW, with

UA - Look for Victor, UA1OEJ/p to be active from the Solovetskiy
Islands (EU-066) until 13 June. He operates CW, SSB, PSK and RTTY

UA - R290PM is active throughout June to celebrate the 290th
anniversary of the city of Perm (European Russia, CQ Zone 17). On
12 June a number of special stations with callsigns in the
R290FA-R290FZ series will be QRV from all of the seven city

UN - Members of the Kazakhstan Traveling Radio Amateurs Group
(http://un-dx-news.ucoz.com) will be active as UP44WFF from Peak
Amangeldy in the Zailiysky mountain range on 7-8 June. They will
operate CW, SSB and digital modes on 40-10 metres. QSL via UN6QC,
direct and bureau, and LoTW.
UR - Look for EM5F to be active from Ochakovskiy Island (EU-182) on 7-9

V3 - Jim, W8ERI will be active as V31ZF from Ambergris Caye (NA-073)
on 12-19 June. He will operate holiday style on 80-10 metres SSB.

VP2V - Dave, W9DR will be active on 6 metres as VP2V/W9DR from Anegada,
British Virgin Islands (FK78tr) on 14-28 June. He will operate SSB
on 50115 kHz SSB and CW on 50115,6 kHz (where he will also be

W - Look for Nathan, N4YDU to be active as from Ocracoke Island
(NA-067) on 25-28 July. He will operate SSB and CW on 80-10

YB - A team of operators will be active as YE0EDAM from Damar Besar
Island (formerly known as Edam), one of the Seribu Islands

ZP - Radio Club Paraguay Filial Itapua (ZP9EE) will operate special
station ZP99E from the Jesuit Missions of La Santisima Trinidad de
Parana and Jesus de Tavarangue (UNESCO World Heritage Sites)
between 12 June and 21 July. Look for activity on 40, 30, 20, 15
and 10 metres SSB, CW and some PSK31. QSL via EA5ZD.

GALILEO SPECIAL EVENT ---> Detailed information on the European Space
Agency's Amateur Radio 2013 Galileo Special Event, running through 2013 to
"celebrate the achievements of the Galileo satellite navigation project",

second activity period will be on 14-23 June, with expected operations by

NA-181 POSTPONED ---> Klaus, VE7KDU and Frank, VE7DP were expeted to be QRV
from Barnard Island (NA-181) on 7-9 June Howeve, "the latest weather
forecast for northern B.C. coastal areas is indicating several days of
gale-force winds", so the activation has been postponed "until a later

OC-285 ---> Nando, IT9YRE (H44S) and Mike, K9AJ (H44AJ) were active from
Sikaiana Atoll (OC-285, new one for IOTA) on 4-6 June and made 5945 QSOs.

RA9ODD/0 ---> UA9OBA reports that owing to plenty of heavy ice in the Sea
of Okhotsk, the M/V 'Spirit of Enderby' is delayed and her course is
changing. The stop at Iony Island (AS-069) [425DXN 1152] is postponed until

QSL 4U1ITU, 4U1UN & 4U1WRC ---> Get your missing QSLs for QSOs with 4U1ITU,
4U1UN and 4U1WRC (2012) at the Swiss DX Foundation's booth at Hamradio 2013
(Friedrichshafen) on 28-30 June. Additionally you can also get QSL cards
for 3B9SP, 3B9FR (only for QSOs made on October 2012 and later), HB9SOLAR
and HB9SPACE. Bring your QSO data with you and observe the working hours of

Pierre's activities from Haiti as HH2/HB9AMO ("it has become clear that

QSL TX5K ---> "The TX5K QSLs for the March Clipperton Island DXpedition

WORLD CASTLES WEEKEND ---> Organized by the World Castles Activity Group,
it will be held on 15-16 June. Several stations are expected to operate
from fortresses and castles around Europe. Information on the event can be

+ SILENT KEY + Veteran storm researcher Tim Samaras (WJ0G) lost his life
when a violent tornado hit the Oklahoma City metro area on 31 May. He
"brought to the field a unique portfolio of expertise in engineering,
science, writing and videography", the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration commented in a statement issued on 3 June. A collection of
his "Stunning Tornado Videos" can be found the National Geographic's
website (www.nationalgeographic.com)
