IOTA News from OPDX

Island activities:

AS-103. Operators Tang/BM2AAV, Adam/BU2BF, Ken/BV1EL, Eddie/BV2DD, Evan/BV2KS, Lee/BV2NT, Lee/BX2AB, Bill/BX3AC, Tall/BX9AAA, Koshiro/JA3AQM, Alfred/VR2SA, Go/9M6YBG and Richard/KF7EJY will be active as BP0A from Peng Hu Island, Taiwan, during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 27-28th) as a Multi-Multi entry.

EU-049. Fred, PA1FJ, will once again be active as SV8/PA1FJ/p, but this time from the Chios Island (GIOTA NAS-002, MIA MG-025, WLOTA 4103) between August 29th and September 9th. Activity will be on 40-6 meters using CW and SSB and CW. Fred will operate QRP using a FT-817 with a Buddi-Stick/HighEndfed antenna. QSL is preferred via the Dutch QSL Bureau (Box 330, NL-6800 AH Arnhem, The Netherlands).

EU-147. Members of the Russian Robinson Club (RRC) continue to activate various islands and lighthouses to celebrate the RRC's 20th
anniversary until September 30th. Look for Maxim/RU5D, Gen/R3BY and Victor/R1NU to be active as R20RRC/1 and possibly RU5D/1, R3BY/1 and R1NU/p, respectively, from Sidorov Island between June 23-29th. Activity will be on 40-10 meters using CW, SSB and PSK. QSL R20RRC/1 via RZ3EC, and all others via their home callsign.

EU-174. Gabi, HA1YA (ex. J48YA), will once again spend his holiday on
Thassos Island (GIOTA NAS-037, MIA MG-124 and WLOTA 4186, WW
Loc. KN20hs), Greece, and be active with his new callsign SW8EA between July 5-21st. Activity will be on the HF bands, 6m, 4m, 2m and 70cm using CW and SSB. His rig is an IC9100 + ME4T-PRO transverter for 4m http://ha1ya.config.hu/htmkepek/me4t_protransverterspec.htm, a multiband vertical for HF and yagis on VHF/UHF bands (four element Yagi on 6m, 4+4 element G0KSC Yagi on 4m, 9 element Yagi on 2m and 23 element Yagi on 70 cm). QSL via his home callsign.

EU-174. Norbert, OM6NM, will be active as SV8/OM6NM from Thassos
Island (GIOTA NAS-037, MIA MG-124 and WLOTA 4186, WW Loc.
KN20hs), Greece, during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 27-28th).
QSL via OM6NM.

OC-021. Edi, YB3EDD, on Java (Jawa) Island, will be active during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 27-28th). QSL via YB3DD, LoTW, eQSL, E-mail request for Bureau or direct.

EU-174. Gabi, HA1YA, will be once again active from Thasos [aka Thassos] Island (GIOTA NAS-037, MIA MG-124, WLOTA 4186, WW Loc. KN20HS) between July 5-21st. His callsign this time will be SW8EA.

NA-151. Bo, OZ1DJJ, will once again be active as OX3LX from Tasillaq
(aka Ammassalik) Island (IOTA NA-151) between July 20th and August 1st. Activity will be on the HF Bands, as well as 6 and 4 meters. QSL via OZ1PIF. For more info and updates, see: http://geronne.dk

OC-177. A team of nine YB operators will be active as YB0D from Damar
Besar Island (LH 2749) between June 27th and July 1st. Activity is sponsored by the Kebon Jeruk Branch, West Jakarta Radio Club, Radio Clubs throughout Jakarta and the Indonesian Amateur Radio Organization (ORARI). Operators mentioned are Fachmi/YB0MF, Joy/YB0NSI, Dicky/YB0JZS, Rachmat/YB0ORR, Syaiful/YB0PUL, Agus/YB0BDC, Handry/YB0NCS, Jeffrey/YC0LOU and Ben/YC0NDN.
