14/06/2013: Ted, JF1CCH (ex-V73TS), will be active from Hachijo-jima [Hachijo
Island] (Tokyo Prefecture, JCG 10006), South Izu Islands (AS-043) between 14-17
June 2013. QRV mainly CW on the HF bands. Note that this island is located
within the boudaries of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and will count for
WorldWide Flora & Fauna reference JAFF-009. QSL via home call, direct or bureau.

14/06/2013: Pertti (Pete), OH2BEE and Raimo, OH2BCI will be active from the
Aland Islands (EU-002) as OG0W from 14-17th June, 2013. QRV on all HF bands and
modes, however their main focus will be on the All Asian DX Contest. QSL via

14/06/2013: Mark, N1AFG, is currently on the island of Sint Maarten (NA-105,
WLOTA 0711) until 21st June 2013, operating a portable station under the
callsign PJ7/N1AFG. Schedule is not firm, and of course depends on weather,
other vacation activities, etc. Look for Mark near the top of the 20m and 15m
phone bands. There is the possibility that he will also operate from the French
side of the island as FS/N1AFG (Saint Martin - NA-105, WLOTA 0383). QSL via home

14/06/2013: Dave, W9DR, has planned a 6 Metre DXpedition to the north shore of
the island of Anegada (WW Loc. FK78TR), in the British Vigin Islands (NA-023),
and will use the callsign VP2V/W9DR from 14-28 June 2013. He will be QRV on
50.115 Mhz SSB and 50.115.6 Mhz CW. Dave will also be running a beacon on
50.115.6 MHz when the band is not open. Please submit confirmation request (QSL)

15/06/2013: Starting 15th June 2013, for 4 or 5 days, look for Roger, ZS6RJ, to
be active from Tuli Block, eastern Botswana (WW Loc. KG47AC), as A25RJ. Plans
are to be QRV on 80-10 metre CW and RTTY. QSL via ZS6RJ direct (Roger Jones, 544

of June 2013 and participate in WCW-2013 from Gorodische Kiya (WCA UR-00214,

15/06/2013: Fabien, F4GYM and Christophe, F4GTB will be active on the 15th of
June 2013 and participate in WCW-2013 from Chateau de Moncteaux les Meaux (WCA

with the activation of the Montceaux Forest Reserve (WWFF FFF-1253). They plan

15/06/2013: Weather permitting, Maurizio IT9BWD/p, Peppe IT9BWW/p, Riccardo
IT9CVO/p and Giuseppe IT9HBS/p will be active from Isola dei Porri (EU-166, IIA

15/06/2013: Take, JG8NQJ will be active again as JG8NQJ/JD1 from Marcus Island,
Minami Torishima (OC-073, WW Loc. QL64XG, JCG #10007) around mid-June. When
there he works at the island weather station so is only active during his spare
time. He will operate CW and some SSB mainly on 10, 12, 15 and 17 metres. Take

15/06/2013: Look for Andy 'NEON' Sargent (SMIRK #6737) to be active caboose
portable from the AC&J Railway (Grid Loc. EN91) as N8OFS/p during the SMIRK 50
MHz QSO Party (15-16 June). Plans are to be parked on 52.525 MHz FM with his

15/06/2013: Andreas, DG3XA, plans to set up a station Ulfborg (WW Loc. JO46BH),
Denmark, and be QRV as OZ0TX from 15th to 21st June, 2013. He plans to set up a
station (Elecraft K3, Alpin 100 amp) for 6 metres running 1kW to a 3 element

15/06/2013: The members of RZ1CWC team and other operators will be active on
the 15th and 16th of June 2013 and participate in WCW-2013 from Fort Seraya

will be active on the 15th and 16th of June 2013 and participate in World
Castles Weekend WCW-2013 from the complex of defense and temple buildings of the

15/06/2013: Champ, E21EIC (ex-XW1IC), will be working in Laos between 15th June
and 14th September, 2013. He will be active as XW0YJY and will also be in the
All Asian DX CW Contest (15-16 June) as a Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power entry.
Outside of the contest, Champ's activity will be on 160-2 metres. He mentions
also that during this period he will be working between Vientiane, Laos, and

15/06/2013: Andris YL2GQT will be active on the 15th and 16th of June 2013 and
participate in WCW - 2013 from Jelgava Castle, Mitau (WCA YL-00031, COTA-YL

15/06/2013: Sasa, YU1KN, will be active on the 15th and 16th of June 2013 and
participate in WCW-2013 from one castles in Serbia for award programm WCA. He
plans to work as YU1KN/p from Soko Grad Castle (WCA YU-00021) on 7, 14 and 21

16/06/2013: Look for Manel, EA3EGB/5 to be active on the 16th of June 2013 from
Islote de Benidorm [Benidorm Island] (EU-093, DIE E-007, Grid Loc. JM08) and
lighthouse (FEA E-0172, WLH EA-003, WLOL SPA-165, WLOTA 3329, Admiralty E 0172).
Plans are to be QRV on 40-6 metre SSB and RTTY using Icom 7000 100 Watts. Islote

16/06/2013: Svein, LA9JKA (ex-JX9JKA) reports that he will be active as JW9JKA
from Bear [Bjornoya] Island (IOTA EU-027), the southernmost island of the
Norwegian Svalbard archipelago, starting from approx 16 June lasting though to
approx 15 December 2013. Similar to his Jan Mayen activities, it will be a

16/06/2013: Thomas, SM3DMP and Jan, SM3CER will be active holiday style as
OH/SM3DMP and OH/SF3A, respectively, from the island of Bjorkon (EU-101, Grid
Loc. KP02), Lansi-Suomi Laani, Finland, between 16-19th June 2013. Look for them

Contest. Yagishiri To is located within the Shokanbetsu-Teuri-Yagishiri

2013. Operating CW, SSB and Digital modes on 160-6m, they will use the club
station of the Jersey Amateur Radio Society at the old German signal station at

22/06/2013: ARRL Field Day (22-23 June) will see the activation of Sugar Island
(USi MI-020R, Not IOTA, WW Loc. EN76VK), Saint Marys River, Chippewa County,
Michigan. Both W9VW (Legion of Indianapolis DXers) along with their GOTA station
W9SU (Indianapolis Radio League) will be operating Field Day from the island.

25/06/2013: Rick ('The Locust'), K6VVA, will activate Sarichef Island (EU-152,
USi AK-023S, WLOTA 3112), 2nd North Western county, Alaska, from 25-27th June,

29/06/2013: Norm, W7DMU and Marvin, WA7MLD plan to activate and try to qualify
Dredge Island (USi WA-192, Not IOTA, WW Loc. CN85PQ), Green Lake, King County,
Washington, on the 29th of June, 2013. They plan to use the callsign W7DMU.
Frequencies to be used will be 40, 20, 15, and 10 metres with 20m being primary.

19/07/2013: Gert, ZS6AYU, plans to be active holiday style as C91GR from

24/07/2013: Look for Graham, M6GCS, to be active as MM6GCS/p from North Uist

County, Wisconsin, on 22nd September, 2013. They plan to be QRV on 80, 75, 40,

12/11/2013: UPDATE - Aki ZL1GO (JE4EKO), Jacky ZL3CW (F2CW/WE3B), John 9M6XRO
and Kip W6SZN will be active as W8A from the Turtle & Shark Lodge, Village of
Vaitogi, on the southeast coast of Tutuila Island (OC-045, USi AS007S, WLOTA
4385, WW Loc. AH45PP) from 12-22 November, 2013. During the CQWW DX CW Contest
(23-24 November) they will use the callsign N8A as a Multi-2 entry. QRV on
160-10 metres, with a significant effort on 160 metres. Focus will be on EU for

27/11/2013: UPDATE - After their W8A and N8A American Samoa activity Aki ZL1GO
(JE4EKO), Jacky ZL3CW (F2CW/WE3B), John 9M6XRO and Kip W6SZN will be active as
5W8A from Tanu Beach Fales, at Manasa on the north coast of the island of
Savai'i (WLOTA 4026, Grid Loc. AH36), Samoa Islands (OC-097) between 27 November
and 2 December, 2013. Activity will once again be on 160-10 metres, with a
significant effort on 160 metres. Focus will be on EU for the high bands. CW

SPECIAL EVENTS -

14/06/2013: The special event station II5MD draws attention to the life of the
Italian inventor Antonio Meucci and is currently QRV on all bands and modes
until the 16th of June, 2013. Antonio Meucci presented the prototype of a

Satellite Navigational System "Galileo" from the 14th till the 23rd of June,

significant 200-year old canals which thread the large plateau of land forming
the UK West Midlands, special event station GB2BCN will accompany the 100 or so
narrow boats which will rally together at the Pelsall Canal Festival in June

PRESS RELEASE -
After many successful DXpeditions in the past, F6KOP’s team and F6KDF (Lyon
DX Gang) are joining together in an effort to put Tromelin back on the air in
2014.
In the last months we have exchanged many documents, emails with the
authorities and we have also met them in their office. Today, we are working
together in a very efficient way, and even if all papers are not yet finalized,
we are very confident for our project.
We hope to give you some good news as soon as possible.
