Ivan, YT4RA, and Goran, YT7AW, will be active until the 15th as
4O/homecalls first from the national park Dumitor, and later from
the coast, maybe also from EU-163. QRV mainly on 30, 17, and 12m in

Jacek, SP5OXJ, will be active holiday-style as 4O/SP5OXJ from Budva

The special event station DM1813LEI will commemorate the 1813

EA, Spain:
EG7FPM is operating from Motril between the 11th and 14th right
before the feast of the Assumption of Mary. QRV on 10, 12, 15, 17,

EG7RPM celebrates the 50th anniversary of the wineyard Montero
until the 11th. QSL via EA7RCM.

EG1SMA operates during a maritime festival in Aviles until the 11th

TM20RSX celebrates 20 years of friendship between the Radio Club de
Neuville et du Haut Poitou (F5KFL) and the Amateur Radio Club of
Ronse/Renaix (ON4RSX) from the 10th till the 17th of August. QSL

Phil, F4DSE, will activate TM16C, a special event call from the
Departement Charente (16), on the following days: September 7/8,

The Leicester Radio Society celebrates their 100th anniversary
until the end of January next year with the call GB100L. QSL via

GW, Wales:
Celebretations of the RSGB's anniversary continue from Wales with
GW100RSGB between August 13 and 19 on all bands and modes. For QSL

HC, Ecuador:
Emanuele, IK2OHG, wants to operate holiday-style as HC2IOH between
August 10 and September 12. QRV on 40-10m in CW with some SSB and

I, Italy:
The Calabria DX Team wants to activate the lighthouse Capo
dell'Armi (ARLHS ITA-014, WAIL CL-008) as II8LH again on the 3rd of

II9HY calls attention to the Allied operation "Husky" 70 years ago.
QRV until the 17th of AUgust. The ARI sections Catania and Acireale
are also issuing the award Battaglia di Sicilia 1943-2013 in that

JA, Japan:
8J4HAM operates on all bands until November 4 to call attention to
the Ham-Fest in Kasaoka (JCC 3107). QSL via bureau.

OD, Lebanon:
The Lebanese Army Ham Radio DX Group is operating OD5ARMY in AUgust
to support their troops; see the qrz.com profile for an award they

ON, Belgium:
Well-known dxpeditioneer Christian, DL1MGB, wants to hike 100km in
less than 24h for charity during a hiking event in Belgium. He asks
for your support to raise money for an organization providing

OX, Greenland:
Bo, OZ1DJJ, continues to operate as OX3LX from Aasiaat (NA-134)

TA, Turkey:
Rene, DL2JRM, announces his participation in the WAE-CW contest
(August 10/11) as TC2C from Asiatic Turkey. QSL via TA1HZ.

UA, Russia:
UE80RWW celebrates 80 years of radio broadcasting from Wolgograd
(former Stalingrad) until September 15. QSL via R4AAS.

The world famous Kremlin in Moscow turns 500 this year. R500AK
celebrates until the end of September. QSL via RK3VWA, eQSL.

In addition to R863LC celebrating the founding of Smolensk the
following stations will join: R863LK (until October 31), R863LX
(August 15 - October 15), and R1150SM (September 1 - November 30).

V5, Namibia:
Winfried, DK9IP, pays a visit to Namibia between the 8th and 13th
and wants to operate as V5/DK9IP and during the WAE contest as
V55V. QRV on 160-10m, possibly also on RTTY and 6m. QSL V5/DK9IP
via h/c, V55V via DJ8VC.

VP9, Bermuda:
Eric, K9GY/T6MO, plans to operate as VP9/K9GY or K9GY/VP9 in the
WAE Contest. QRV from August 8 to 15 on 40-10m in CW. QSL via K9GY.

VU, India:
Members of the Bharat Scouts and Guides will get on the air with
the unusual call ATBSG13 during the 9th Asia-Pacific
Regional/Internet Jamboree. Operators are VU2RBI, VU2CTU, VU3KRT,
and VU3OWL.XV, VIETNAM. Masanobu, JR5JAQ, has received his license
as XV2JJ. So far he has been active on 20, 17, and 15m in CW and
some SSB. The duration of his stay is unknown. QSL via JH5RXS (B).

XW, Laos:
Champ, E21EIC, wants to participate in the WAE Contest as XW0YJY.
Outside the contest he wants to monitor 6m (50.112) and work on
160-2m. Champ has work assignments in Laos until September 14 and

YB, Indonesia:
Budi, YF1AR, will activate the lighthouse Cikoneng-Anyer (ARLHS
IDO-081) nr Banten on Java (OC-021) between August 7 and 11. QSL

YO, Romania:
YQ0BIKE will accompany the bicycle tournament Szeklerland until
August 31 on all bands in SSB, CW, and digital modes. QSL via

ZS8, Marion Island:
Nadia, ZS8A, hopes to be on the air soon from Marion Island,
joining Carson, ZS8C and David ZS8Z who are already active when

Voodoo Contest Group
====================
After 19 successful operations the Voodoo Contest Group has decided
not to return to West-Africa. They have donated their equipment
stored in Liberia to the Liberian Amateur Radio Association.

The activities celebrating 75 years of FOC racked up more then

Silent Key
==========
Tom Christian VP6TC/VR6TC, "The Voice of Pitcairn" passed away on
July 7 with 78 years. He recieved his initial license in 1957 and
was the long-time president of the Pitcairn Island Amateur Radio
Association. In the Pitcairn Island Council he served as the
Governor's Representative for 40 years. Our thoughts are with his
family and friends. We are sorry for their loss.

EU-064; F; Pays de la Loire Region group: Geoffrey/F4FVI,

making up this year's team for the 3rd Noirmoutier Island
DXpedition (WLOTA 1224, DIFM AT-020, FFF-1418, DPF Pays de Loire,

EU-081; F; Basse-Normandie Region group: Gil/F4FET, Juan/F5IRC,
Vincent/F4BKV, Antoine/F5RAB, Marc/F8DRA, and Diego/F4HAU will be
operating as TM0SM from Saint Marcouf (DIFM MA-001, WW Loc. IN99KL)
on August 9-11. The operation simultaneously counts as an
