30/08/2013: Bert, PD1SA, will be active as YB1/PD1SA from West Java (OC-021,

WLOTA 1660), Indonesia, between 30th August and 28th September, 2013. QRV mostly

on 20 metre SSB, but he may also be on 80 and 40 metres. Bert will use a Yaesu

LOOKING AHEAD -

31/08/2013: Malaysian Special Expedition Team, 9M2SE, will be active from Pulau

Indah (IOTA AS-074) in celebration of Malaysia's 56th independence day. On air

from 31st August 2013 0000 UTC to 1st September 2013 0900 UTC, the team are

looking for DX stations to share their anniversary’s fun. QRV on 40-10m CW and

SSB. Operating equipment will be 100 watt transceivers, vertical and a

04/09/2013: Hiroo, JA2VWG and Seihachi, JA7LU will be active from Pohnpei

Island (OC-010) as V63DDD and V63LU between 4-16 September, 2013. QRV on 40-6m;

18/09/2013: Randy, AJ7G, and his wife are planning their next funxpedition to

activate Cedar Key (NA-076, USi FL-485S), Levy County, Florida, from 18-19

September 2013. They plan on operating on 20, 17 and 15 metre USB and Digital if

possible. The equipment will be a Yaesu FT-2000d and an FT-897d as a back up.

Antenna will be a buddipole mounted in the back of my pick up with a special

mounting assembly for added height and sturdiness. They will be staying at the

Low Key Hideaway Motel in Cedar Key. QSL direct to home call (Randy R Woods,

24/09/2013: Nick, G3RWF, mentions that he's off to Uganda (5X1NH) on 24th

September until 16 November, 2013. He will be meeting up with Alan G3XAQ (5X1XA)

and both then plan to head to the outskirts of Kigali (WW Loc. KI47TS), Rwanda

(9X0NH) on 19th November for 10 days. Participation from Rwanda during CQWW DX

26/09/2013: George K3GP, Jamie WW3S and Ray ND8L will be active from Hamilton

Parish, Bermuda (NA-005, WW Loc. FM72PI) between 26-30th September 2013 as

VP9/K3GP, VP9/WW3S and VP9/ND8L. During the CQWW DX RTTY Contest (28-29

19/11/2013: Olaf G0CKV, Oliver W6NV, and Jorma OH2KI will be active from

Ascension Island (AF-003, WLOTA 1491, Grid Loc. II22) as ZD8M, ZD8W and ZD8X,

respectively, from 19-24 November, 2013. QRV on HF and 6 metres before the CQWW

DX CW Contest (23-24 November). During the contest they will participate as

21/11/2013: A Japanese contest expedition to the island of Grenada (NA-024,

WLOTA 0718) will take place from 21-29 November, 2013. Team members include Tak

J3/homecall on all bands and modes, including a Multi-Single entry in the CQWW

August 24th, 2013. To celebrate this event, look for special event station

Comprehensive Disaster-preparedness Drill, the 45th anniversary of Fukaya

At last we have received all permits from the authorities in Mauritius. The call

3B9EME for V-UHF and for HF is confirmed. Locator MH10qh. We will be active with

2 stations simultaneously on the HF bands in modes: CW, SSB, RTTY, JT65hf,

PSK31. Operators will be: I3VJW (cw & digital) - I3LDP (ssb) - IZ3KIF and IK5MIC
