3D2, Fiji and 3D2/R, Rotuma:
Stan, LZ1GC, Rocky, 3D2DD, and Andy, LZ2HM, are announcing an
activity from Fiji and Rotuma with the following itinerary:

September 20 - 26
Stan will be active as 3D2GC from Viti Levu Island (OC-016, WW.
Loc. RH82qf). QRV on 160-6m in CW and SSB with 1KW and vertical
antennas.

September 27 - October 11
Andy, 3D2RA (160-2m, CW/SSB/PSK/SSTV), Stan, 3D2GC/p, and Rocky,
3D2DD/p (SSB), will work together from Rotuma (OC-060). One focus
will be on EME on 6m (JT65A).

October 12 - 15
Stan, 3D2GC, will be back in Fiji before returning home on the 16th.

Juergen, DL3JH, continues his activity as 4S7JG until the 29th. QRV

5X, Uganda:
Nick, G3RWF, will be active once more as 5X1NH from September 24

A3, Tonga:
Masa, JA0RQV, will visit Tonga from the 19th to the 24th. His
intended destination is Niuatoputapu (OC-191), where he wants to
work as A35JP/N on 80-6m in CW and SSB with 100W and a GP. If his
flight gets cancelled alternative destinations may be Tongatapu
(OC-049), Haapa (OC-169) or Vavau (OC-064). QSL via h/c, LotW.

C2, Nauru:
Yuki, JH1NBN, will stay on the air as C21BN until the 26th during

EA, Spain:
The special event station EH5APP wants to call attention to the
bombarding of the city Alcoi during the Spanish civil war 75 years

context of the 26th Nuits de Nacres in Tulle from the 21st to the

TM35CDXC accompanies the 35th convention of the Clipperton DX Club

TM90KOB celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Radio Club de

G, England:
GB6TOB, the special event station for the Tour of Britain, will be
run on the 20th by the Norman Lockyer Radio Group during the tour's

HP500OP commemorates the year 1513, when the Spaniard Vasco Nunez
de Balboa, together with a group of men, became the first European
to cross Panama and discover the Pacific coast. QRV September 20 to

I, Italy:
II5RS will once more be put on the air in a joint effort of the
Libeccio Club C.B. Versilia and the Gruppo Astronomico Viareggio.

LZ2013HST will be a part of the World High Speed Telegraphy

part of the 4th DAGOE Mercy Ships Radio DX-Pedition. QRV as TN2MS

VE2013RT is part of the Radio Talk 2013. QRV on the 21st in CW and

Tomas, VK2CCC, announces a holiday-style operation as VK9LL
(OC-004, WWFF VKFF-295) from the 22nd to the 29th. Tomas plans to
operate primarily on 160 and 80m, but hopes to also use some of the
antennas for the high bands that Oliver, W6NV, and Seppo, OH1VR,

W, USA:
WC8VOA, operated by the West Chester Amateur Radio Associoation,
calls attention to the Voice of America transmit site in Bethany.

The 80th anniversary of the Collins Radio Company will be
celebrated by the following stations on September 21-23 and 28-30:
W0CXX und N0CXX in Cedar Rapids, IA; W5ROK in Richardson, TX; W4CRC

Cancun hosts the IARU Region 2 general assembly from September 19

Alex, M6CFW, announces his new Cambodian callsign XU7AEU, which he
hopes to get on the air for the first time from the 24th to the

XZ, Myanmar:
Zorro, JH1AJT, has returned to Myanmar as planned and works once
more as XZ1Z until the 23rd. He has a better location now and also
uses a tribander yagi in addition to his vertical antennas. QRV

YA, Afghanistan:
Marvin, T6MC (KL0ET), continues to operate on 20, 17, 15, 12, and
10m in SSB, digital modes, and some CW until the end of the year.

NASA invites amateurs to say Hi to Juno
NASA's Juno spacecraft will pass Earth closely on October 9, giving
amateurs the opportunity to send a short message to it on 10m in a
concentrated experiment. See the webpage for details.

Silent Key:
Jagjeet Singh Virdee (5Z4GB/5H3JS) was killed on August 30 in a
violent burglary of his home.
The former editor of CQ, Wayne Green, W2NSD, died on September 13.

Our thoughts are with their families and friends. We are sorry for
their loss.
