Calling all radio hams from the uk and internationally....
Do you have an Air Ambulance Station near you and you or your club would like to
put on an event during July 2014. I will be putting the event on air during the
year. I'm also looking for some one who would be happy to administer and set up
a website so radio hams can register their station or callsigns, and for another
person who is very good in creating an award for working a number of stations
and to be sent out in pdf only. Please e mail me at jonm0hem[@]
and making this a successful yearly event.

Railways on the air (ROTA) weekend usually takes place every year on the weekend
closest to the 27th September. This date celebrates the anniversary of the first
steam powered passenger railway which took place on 27th September 1825 - the
first passenger train ran on a line in the North East of England from Darlington
to Stockton. Bishop Auckland Amateur Radio Club coordinates this event. Dates
for ROTA 2013 - this year’s calendar is extremely packed and it is impossible to
set dates for ROTA that do not clash with other ham activities. We have set the
date for ROTA 2013 to the weekend of 21st - 22nd September. We do hope you will
be able to take part in this growing event. There is an award for working 10 of
the following stations. The following are suggested frequencies for the event:
3.650, 7.120, 14.120 MHz. Further information along with a full list of
participating stations can be found at:
