Amateur Ham Radio Marathon Returns to Stamford Observatory:

The Stamford Amateur Radio Association will hold its Field Day Weekend from 2 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stamford Observatory at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center. Admission is free through the observatory entrance at 151 Scofieldtown Road. Amateur radio operators hold Field Day annually with tens of thousands of operators participating to create an independent communications network by contacting their far flung fellow radio enthusiasts as far away as Europe as part of a 24-hour, nationwide marathon competition.
