September 25, 2014
It’s certainly improving is Ten Metres. Sunday was especially good. TY1AA (Benin) and W1AW were tops again. V26K (Antigua and Barbuda), XQ6CFX (Chile) and BO0D (Taiwan) were amongst the more unusual calls on the band along with lots of others.

Andy M0HLT is enjoying the new upsurge in conditions.
From 10/9 onwards he worked LU1JHD, 5B4AIF, 9K2HN, TC2C, 7Z1SJ, W3LL, CT9/DL1DN, and Mike in Crete (this evening 17/9), SV9CVY 5/9+30 BOTH ways... And he heard CX6DZ, W1AW/0, W3FV, ZR9C, CA3LBA, and finally in the background @ 19:20UTC ( Weds evening) KC4TVZ.
He says, “Hi Tony. Well as most of us know, 10's been open every day/evening at least until 20:00UTC, and some new countries for me on 10m, 9K and 7Z....to name at least 2. I even heard the occasional station from the tropics, the WAE ssb contest certainly brought them "out" as well as fantastic on going (?) conditions at present...I suspect you may have many good reports / observations this week..PS...now a proud owner of a TS2000 DSP ( brand new) and in debt for 3 years Hi, Hi”
Still, at least you can now enjoy being poor.
Wednesday Mauricio, CE7FKG, worked: IZ5UGY, LU7OC and IW0WOY and heard EA1BUL and W1AW/1. He will be on an expedition to Damas Islands 8 - 12 October 2014 IOTA SA-086 WLOTA 0029 http://www.xr2t.cl/ DXPedition QSL Manager CE3OP.
9W2VVH, Arie is back in business.
“Hi Tony. Salam sejahtera. Friday Sep 19 - Wkd EG4ESP on 10m ssb. Then Sunday Sep 21 - On 10m ssb, wkd OM2VL,YO4RIU, 9W6EZ, IW0SAF, IS0CVH & CU4DX. On 10m psk31, wkd EW2CC, R3TGD, RZ3OC, RV3FV, RN3DD, R6AV, YO6QT, & RU1AT. Tony, I hope some day I can meet you on PSK31. Take care. Terima kasih & jumpa lagi. 73 de Arie 9W2VVH.”

Thanks Arie, I would certainly like to work you any mode.
Steven, 2E0NHR worked: UE16MT 5/9, UE16HQ 5/9 and ZD7FT 5/7 on Tuesday. “I was pleased to get ZD7FT another new one for me. Tony, I really hope 10 is going to be as good as it was this time last year.” he says.
So do we all, it seems promising.

Sun: 6 sunspot clusters. Today, Wednesday, the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) near Earth is tilting south, not much, but enough to open a crack in Earth's magnetosphere. Solar wind is pouring through the opening to fuel beautiful polar auroras. NOAA forecasters estimate a 40% chance that a full-fledged geomagnetic storm could develop in the next 24 hours. (Spaceweather.com)

Stoke drew 2 – 2 away at QPR, I was there. We had so many chances to win it. Still its goals that win matches not chances or possession or pressure. Next is a night match against Newcastle on Monday. I will not be at that match, it’s on TV.
