White Mountain Hamfest Set for July 22:

The White Mountain Hamfest, hosted by the Kachina Amateur Radio Club, will be Saturday, July 22, at Mountain Meadow Park, 932 N. Woodland Road in Pinetop. Vendors space $5 per space and all others $5 per car. VE Session will be held at 9 a.m. Walk-ins allowed and encouraged. Hours are 6 a.m. to early afternoon with hourly prizes and grand prize is at noon. Talk-in frequency 146.16, PL 162.2. A hamfest is an event organized by local amateur radio operators for the promotion of the amateur radio hobby. It includes a swap meet for radio gear, as well as license testing. Vendor booths are set up so you can buy, sell and trade radio equipment, parts and all sorts of gear for a well-appointed ham station.
