9A, Croatia:
Charlie, NF4A will be on the bands as 9A5PC until March 5
from the 9A1A club station. In the ARRL DX SSB Contest he'll
take part in the 9A1A M/M team. QSO for 9A5PC via NF4A, LoTW.

9M6, East Malaysia:
Before joining the 9M4SLL team, Ben DJ0YI will be 9M6/N6MUF
from March 1 - 9 from Kota Kinabalu (capital of Sabah) on
Borneo Island (OC-088). QSL via DJ0YI, LoTW.

9X, Rwanda:
Nick, G3RWF (5X1NH), plans a trip to Rwanda from March 4 - 12.
He applied for the callsign 9X0NH and hopes to be back later
this year for another visit. He'll mostly operate in CW from
Kigali. QSL via G3RWF, LoTW.

DL, Germany:
On June 20, 1913, Wilhelm II (German Emperor) visited the village
Eilvese near Hannover on the occasion of the completion of building
a 258 meter high radio tower, at that time the highest in Germany.
The special event callsign DL100OUI (SDOK 100OUI) will be QRV
throughout the year to remember the 100th anniversary of the first
commercial radio contact between Germany and the USA from this
location. OUI were the call letters of the German station at that
time, the US station was located in Tuckerton, NJ.

EU, Belarus:
The radio club "Dalnye Strany" celebrates its golden jubilee
in March with the special call EV50WB.
QSL via EU1AZ (SSB) und via EU1DX (CW, RTTY), LoTW.

FY, French Guiana:
Marc, F1HAR will use the callsign FY5KE in the ARRL DX SSB Contest
in the SOSB 15m HP category. QSL via F1HAR (bureau), FY5KE (direct)
or LoTW. Herve, F5HRY will also be QRV from Kourou in this contest,
signing TO1A in the SOSB 10m category. QSL only via LoTW.

G, England:
GB3RS is station located in the "National Radio Centre" in
Bletchley Park, an exhibition of the history and technology
of radio communication. The RSGB is always looking for volunteers
for the operation of the station. Please contact

SP, Poland:
Until March 5th, the club station SP6PNZ will use the special
call 3Z55OP on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the
amateur radio club in Opole. An award is available (see website).

On the occasion of the 20th company anniversary of "Bombardier
Transportation (Rail Engineering) Polska Spolka" the special call
3Z20RE will be active on the bands until mid April. An award is
available, see QRZ.COM. QSL via SP5DZC.

In March the special callsign SN150BPM will commemorate the
great battle of Malogoszcz in 1863. QSL via SP7PCA.

TA, Turkey:
Willi, DJ7RJ, will be on the bands as TA4/DJ7RJ from February 27
to March 18, with a preference for the lowbands in CW and SSB.

TI, Costa Rica:
Juan Carlos, TI2JCY, Carlos, TI2KAC, Mauricio,TI4ZM, Eddie,
K4UN, Bob, W4BW, Keith, W4KTR, and Lex, W4XO, will take part in
the ARRL DX SSB Contest as TI8M in one of the multi operator
categories. Before and during the contest they are "on air" on
all HF bands. QSL via TI2KAC.

TX5: Clipperton Island:
The outstanding DX event of the week is the TX5K DXpedition
to Clipperton (NA-011). On February 18 the "Shogun" left San
Diego and the team is expected to start their operation on
the bands on February 28th or March 1st, until March 10th.
Members of the DXpedition crew are Jef, DD2CW, Mathias, DJ2HD,
Gerhard, DJ5IW, Markus, DJ7EO, Heye, DJ9RR, Christian, DL1MGB,
Dietmar, DL3DXX, Andreas, DL5CW, Thomas, DL5LYM, Yann, F1NGP,
Giovanni, I5JHW, Edward, KE3D, Richard, KF4ZZ, Robert, KK6EK,
Walter, N6XG, Carlos, NP4IW, Kenneth OZ1IKY, Robert, SP5XVY,
Igor, US0VA, Roman, US5WDX, Lance, W7GJ, Michael, WA6O, David WJ2O,
and Luis, XE1L. They will be QRV from two locations with ten
stations, using vertical antennas on the beach and a 6M8GJ yagi
for 6m (including EME). EME propagation windows to Europe are
expected to be favorable; please read the website for details.
They will use the DXA2 system for near real-time online logging:

UA, Russia:
The club station RK3YWA from Brjansk will use the special call
R100AIP until March 6 to commemorate the 100th birthday of
A. I. Pokryshkin, three times hero of the Soviet Union, who
headed the DOSAAF (Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army)
for 8 years after the war and who was an accomplished supporter
of radio sport in the USSR. QSL via RW3YW.

The special event call RG61PP will, from March to May, celebrate
the Day of the Cosmonaut (April 12) and the birthday of Yuri
gagarin (March 9, 1934).

Until March 3, the special callsign R2013CG will be on the
air on the occasion of the 6th "International Children's
Winter Games".

UR, Ukraine:
Radioclub "Delta" celebrates its 20th anniversary with the
special station EO20URD until March 17, and EM7UT and EO0UD
during the whole year. QSLs via UR7UT.

V3, Belize:
Lee, N8LJ (V31LJ), Stan, AC8W (V31AC), and Jim, KB8TXZ (V31VJ),
will be QRV from February27 to March 6 from 160 - 6m in
CW, RTTY and SSB. A participation in the ARRL DX SSB contest in
planned in the M/S category.

W, USA:
Dave, K3FT, and Rob, N3RW, will be active in the ARRL DX SSB
contest from the "New Jersey" battleship as NJ2BB, using the
ship's antennas and possibly some mulitary surplus equipment.

With the special call K2O the 20th anniversary of the keel laying
of the show boat "Branson Belle" will be celebrated on March 1/3.

Sebastian, OE3SZA, is currently in New Mexico. Starting in March
he's on the bands as W5/OE3SZA. Until February 27 he's QRV from
Albuquerque on the local Echolink repeater: Node Nummer 714946,
call KF5ERC.

XU, Cambodia:
Eddy, ON4AFU will undertake a one-man-DXpedition from March 3 - 14
as XU7AFU, with 100W and wire antennas in CW. QSL via Homecall.

YA, Afghanistan:
Eric, K9GY (T6MO) will take part in the ARRL DX SSB contest in the
SOAB LP category, with a focus on 20m, if conditions permit he'll
also work on 15m/10m. QSL via Homecall.

YN, Nicaragua:
Scott, K7ZO will activate his new short call YN5Z (2012: YN5ZO)
from Nicaragua in the ARRL DX SSB contest in the SOAB HP category.
He'll use a TS-590, KPA-500 PA and a 5 band spiderbeam and wires.

YO, Romania:
The European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2013 took place in
Brasov vom February 17 - 22. Until the end of August, the special
call sign YP0FOTE will be on the air by members of the "AJR
Brasov Radioclub", which issues a special award for this event.

YS, El Salvador: John, NO7B, geniesst to zum 12. March als YS1/NO7B
in SSB von 40 - 10 Meter die Pile-Ups. QSL via Homecall.

ZA, Albania:
Max, IZ4JMA is now living in Albania and will be on the bands as
ZA/IZ4JMA for at least 18 months on all bands and in all modes.
QSL via IZ4JMA.


Changes in the USKA QSL bureau:
QSL cards for non-members of the Swiss IARU society USKA
will no longer be returned with a "Not Member" stamp, but
silently discarded, to save work and money.

RM4A and RM7M:
Willi, DF8WS, receives QSLs for RM4A and RM7M for which he is
not the QSL manager. He was the manager for these calls in the
times of the USSR when they were assigned to hams in Kyrgyzstan;
now they belong to hams in Russia.

DXCC:
The following DXpeditions were accepted for DXCC credit:
4S7DXG (2008 and 2011), 8Q7VR (2008 and 2011)

AF-017; 3B9; Rodrigues Island: Toshi/JA8BMK, Ken/JN1THL and
Yoshiko/JQ1LCW will be QRV from Rodrigues Island (WWFF 3BFF-004,
WLOTA 4265) as 3B9DX from March 1 - 10. They expect to be QRV in CW,
SSB, RTTY and PSK31 on 80 - 10m. If time permits, Toshi/JA8BMK
will be QRV from Mauritius (IOTA AF-049; WLOTA 0595) on February

AS-024; JA6; Yaeyama Islands: The special event call 8J6ISG will be QRV
in March and April on all HF bands and modes from Ishigaki Island
(WLOTA 0134) on the occasion of the opening of the New Ishigaki

AS-042; UA0B; Severnaya Zemlya (North Land) (incl. Malyy Taymyr,

activate the "Jersey ARS Club Station" GJ2A in St. Brelade (WLOTA

EU-024; I*0; Sardina: From March 2 to 17 the special event call sign
II0IDP will be on the air from the former coastal radio station

NA-100; V2; Antigua and Barbuda: Alan/N3AD will use the shack of V26B

NA-106; KP2; Virgin Islands: Brad, K7EUG, will still be on St. Croix

OC-019; KH6/KH7; Hawaiian Islands: In the ARRL DX SSB contest, Al/F5VHJ
will be QRV from Hawaii (USi HI025S, WLOTA 0065) as NH7A.

SA-036; P4; Aruba Island: From March 3 to 17, Howard/WA2NHA will be on
Aruba (WLOTA 0033) and plans to be on the bands as P4/WA2NHA on

Another activation from Aruba in the ARRL DX SSB Contest is planned
by Andy/AE6Y as P49Y. QSL via AE6Y (d), LoTW .

SA-099; PJ2; Curacao Island: John/K6AM, Wayne/K8LEE and Geoff/W0CG
will visit the "Signal Point Super-Station" PJ2T on Curacao (WLOTA
0942) from February 26 to March 12. In the ARRL DX SSB Contest
they will take part as PJ2T, outside the contest they will use

IOTA Information
The following IOTA operations from October 2012 to January 2013
were approved for the IOTA programme:
RA4HKM/0 (AS-025), C6AVA (NA-048 & NA-054), YB4IR/5 (OC-075), L22D
