TANZANIA, 5H. Bodo, DF8DX, will be QRV as 5H1DX and 5H1DX/3 from IOTAs AF-075, AF-063 and AF-032 from April 20 to 28. Activity will be on 160 to 10 meters near the IOTA frequencies using mostly CW, with EME on 70 and 23 cm using JT65 and CW. QSL to home call.
MALDIVES, 8Q. Pai, VU2PAI and Krish, W4VKU will be QRV as 8Q7KP from Bodu Finolhu Island, IOTA AS-013, from April 23 to 30 with two stations. QSL via operators' instructions.
CROATIA, 9A. Operators HA5AUC, HA7PC and HA5BWW will be QRV as 9A/homecalls from Rab Island, IOTA EU-136, from April 21 to 28. Activity will be on the HF bands including 6 meters using mainly CW. QSL direct to home calls.
FRANCE, F. Marconi special event station TM114M will be QRV on April 20 and 21 in celebration of the 114th anniversary of the first wireless radio link between Wimereux, France and South Foreland, England on March 27, 1899. QSL via F5JYD.
MARTINIQUE, FM. A group of operators are QRV as TO4IPA until May 2. Activity is on the HF bands using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK. QSL via HA3JB.
HUNGARY, HA. Special event station HG50NOHAB is QRV until March 31 2014 in celebration of the modernization of the Hungarian Railway 50 years ago. Activity is on the HF bands using CW, SSB and digital modes. QSL via bureau.
SOMALIA, T5. Roger, LA4GHA is QRV as 6O0LA from Puntland while working as a member of the UNODC-mission. He is active in his spare time on 160 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and various digital modes. QSL to home call.
EUROPEAN RUSSIA, UA. Special event station R40AST is QRV until April 22 from multiple Astronomical Observatories in the North Caucasus of Russia during the International Day of Astronomy. QSL via UA6GG.
KAZAKHSTAN, UN. A group of operators will be QRV as UP44WFF from the Talgar region on April 20 and 21 during the International Day of Astronomy. Activity will be on 40 through 10 meters using SSB and various digital modes. QSL via operators' instructions.
CHAGOS ISLAND, VQ9. Jim, ND9M is QRV as VQ9JC from Diego Garcia until sometime in July. He may also be active using the special callsign VQ975FOC during the month of May to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the First Class CW Operators Club. He is active Field Day style from 1230 to 1615z most days. QSL to home call.
PRINCE EDWARD AND MARION ISLANDS, ZS8. Look for Carson, ZR6CWI and David, ZS1BCE to soon be QRV as ZS8C and ZS8Z, respectively, from Marion Island. They may be joined by other operators as well. Activity will eventually be on 40 to 10 meters using mainly SSB with some digital modes. QSL via ZS1HF.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The ARRL SSB Rookie Roundup, NCCC RTTY Sprint, Holyland DX Contest, TARA Skirmish Digital Prefix Contest, ES Open HF Championship, Worked All Provinces of China DX Contest, Nebraska QSO Party, CQ Manchester Mineira DX CW Contest, EU SSB Spring Sprint, Michigan QSO Party, EA-QRP CW Contest, North Dakota QSO Party, Ontario QSO Party, South Dakota QSO Party, Feld Hell Sprint and the YU DX CW Contest will certainly keep contesters busy this upcoming weekend.
The Run for the Bacon QRP CW Contest is scheduled for April 22. The SKCC CW Sprint, CWops Mini-CWT Test and 432 MHz Spring Sprint arescheduled for April 24.
