15/02/2014: The CN2AA team is going to take part in ARRL DX CW contest (15-16
Frebruary) as a M/S entry from Morocco. Operators include Sergey RX3APM, Yuri
RL3FT, Andrey RV1AW and Sergei RU3RQ. QRV as CN2PM (FISTS #8306) before the
contest. QSL via UA2FM and LoTW. [NG3K]

15/02/2014: Look for Luis, EA8AY, to be active once again as EF8USA from Santa
Cruz, Isla de Tenerife (DIE S-012, WLOTA 1276), Canary Island (AF-004), during
the ARRL DX CW Contest (15-16 Frebruary). Plans are for a Single-Op/All-Band

15/02/2014: Tony, RT9T, will be active as H27A in the ARRL DX CW Contest (15-16
Frebruary) from the island of Cyprus (AS-004, MIA MCI-002, WLOTA 0051). Plans
are for a Single-Op/Single-Band (20m) entry. QSL via RT9T and LoTW. [NG3K]

15/02/2014: Dave, N2NL, plans a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry in the ARRL
DX CW Contest (15-16 Frebruary) and the ARRL DX Phone Contest (1-2 March) from
the island of Guam (IOTA OC-026, USi GU003S, WFF KFF-110, WLOTA 0064). QSL goes
via LoTW or W2YC direct. [NG3K]

15/02/2014: Yuriy, N2TTA, will once again sign NP2P during the ARRL DX CW
Contest (15-16 Frebruary) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry from Christiansted,
island of St. Croix (NA-106, USi VI002S, WLOTA 2477), CQ zone 8. QSL via LoTW is

15/02/2014: Kurt, W6PH, will once again be active as VP9/W6PH in the ARRL DX CW
Contest (15-16 Frebruary) as a Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power entry from Hamilton
Parish, island of Bermuda (NA-005). QSL via home call, direct only. [NG3K]

15/02/2014: Toshi, JA8BMK, will be active holiday style as XV2BM from Nha Trang
(eastcoast of South China Sea), Vietnam, between 15 February and 2 March 2014.
Plans are to be QRV holiday style on 160-10 metre, all mode, using a hexbeam,
verticals and inverted V. Note: start and end dates are approximate and might
change. QSL via home call, direct or bureau. [DX World]

17/02/2014: Gildas, F6HMQ, will once again be active as TO22C from the island
of Guadeloupe (NA-102, DIFO FG-001, WLOTA 0644) between 20th February and 6th
March 2014. Activity all bands + entry in ARRL SSB Contest. QSL via F6HMQ. [DX

18/02/2014: Yoshi, JE2EHP, will be active from Noumea, New Caledonia [Grand
Terre Island] (OC-032, DIFO FK-001, WLOTA 1280, Grid Loc. RG37), as FK/K1HP
between 18-26 February 2014. QRV on all HF bands and 6m, using CW, SSB and RTTY.
Both bureau and direct QSLs are accepted via JE2EHP. LoTW and OQRS are also

18/02/2014: At the occasion of his business travel from 18-27 February 2014
Christian, F5UII, will be active on the HF bands using SSB from the radio club
FY5KE in Kourou, French Guiana. His operating schedules compliant with his
professional activities would begin approximately around 11:00z and in the
evening at 22:00z. During the France Championship in SSB (REF contest) which
runs from February 22 at 6am UTC to February 23 - 6:00 p.m. UTC, the callsign
FY5KE will be active on IARU contest segments in bands 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 m.
You can looking for us on either band and as a reminder, a contact with French
station from another continent worth 15 points (detail according to the rules of
the championship of France REF contest). QSL via home call. You always check if

19/02/2014: Michael, G7VJR (author of Club Log) will be QRV on the HF bands
from Hamilton Perish, Bermuda (NA-005) as VP9/G7VJR between 19-27 February 2014.

20/02/2014: The Palos Verdes Amateur Radio Club, K6PV, will be on a mini IOTA
expdition to Santa Catalina Island (NA-066, USi CA-016S, WLOTA 2912, Grid Loc.
DM03), Los Angeles county, California between 20-23 February 2014. QRV as K6PV/6
on 160m-70cm CW, SSB, PSK-31 and RTTY. They are not sure of activity on 6
metres. They will also participate in the CQWW 160M SSB Contest (21-23

20/02/2014: A joint expedition, composed of members of the Radio Club Peruano
and the Radio Club Grupo DX Bahia Blanca of Argentina, will be on the air from
Isla San Lorenzo (IOTA SA-052, WLOTA 0131), located in the Pacific Ocean (12°
05' 23"S - 77° 13' 26"W) between Thursday 20 and Monday 24, February with the
special prefix OC0I. The operation also form part of "South America Lighthouse
Weekend", with activation of the Faro Gran Almirante Grau (ARLHS PER-006, WLOTA
0131) installed in said island. With the team leader Pablo Vazquez OA4AI,
accompanied by Cesar Brousek OA4CLU, Tony Vieira OA4DX, David Torres OA4YX,
Carlos Almiron LU7DSY, Carlos Soulier LU4ETN, Daniel Lucca LU1HLH, Gustavo
Taboada LU7HW and Eduardo Maleh LU7HEO. They have the support of the Peruvian
Navy, who will transport team and cargo in one of their ships from the port of
Callao, in addition to providing access to its facilities in the Naval Base in
Isla San Lorenzo. They will be active with two stations simultaneously 24 hours,
80 to 10 metres, including WARC bands in CW, SSB and PSK31. QSL direct via

16/03/2014: Guy, F5MNW, will be active as FR/F5MNW from Reunion Island (AF-016,
WLOTA 1812) between 16 March and 8 April 2014, on Saint Leu tops. QRV on the HF

23/03/2014: Imam, YB4IR, plans activity as YB4IR/p from the rare Enggano Island
(OC-204) between 23-30 March 2014. QRV on 40-10m using CW and SSB. QSL via

11/04/2014: Wes, ZL3TE, will again be active from Viti Levu (OC-016, WLOTA
0055, WW Loc. RH82PB), Fiji, as 3D2SE between 11-14 April 2014. Main activity in
the JIDX CW contest, operating outside the contest mainly on CW with some Digi
modes. QSL Via LoTW / ZL3TE direct only. Log will be hosted by Club Log. [DX

05/06/2014: Nobby, G0VJG, will be active from the island of St. Lucia (NA-108,
WLOTA 1336) between 5-18 June 2014. QRV on 40-6m, all mode. QSL via home call.

05/07/2014: Eric, KV1J, will once again be active as FP/KV1J from Miquelon
Island (NA-032, WLOTA 1417) from 5-15 July 2014. QRV on the HF bands and the

SPECIAL EVENTS -

15/02/2014: Pierre, F8DHE, will be active for the 11th Antarctic Activity Week
using the special call TM11WAP (WAP-247) between 15 February and 2 March 2014.
QRV on 80m to 10m CW and SSB. This activity is in Park National of Livradois
Forez, valid for WWFF, the reference is FFF-026. Special full color QSL card via
home call, by the bureau or direct (Pierre Chassain, 22 Rue de la Barotie, 42440

15/02/2014: Once again the Extreme DX and Contest Group will use special
callsign II3CV from 15 February to 4 March to celebrate the Carnival of Venice.

15/02/2014: Carol, KA4WJR (ARLHS Member #1881), reports that special event
callsign N4N will be be activated by her group from the Mount Dora Lake
Lighthouse (ARLHS USA-1407) for the 140th Anniversary of the 1st Settlers in
Mount Dora. The lighthouse is located on Lake Dora at the entrance of the Port
of Mount Dora in Mount Dora, Florida. Built in 1988, only 35 ft. tall, the
lighthouse is a fully functional navigating light for the Port of Mount Dora, on
Lake Dora. It is the only inland freshwater lighthouse in Florida. Mount Dora's
1st settlers were the Simpson Family in 1874. The Postmaster gave the settlement
a name in 1880 by combining parts of his own children's names. In 1883 it was
renamed Mount Dora, as it is located on a plateau 184 feet above sea level and
borders Lake Dora. N4N will operate from 1500 UTC February 15, 2014 to 0200 UTC
February 16, 2014 (10:00 am to 9:00 pm local time on Saturday February 15, 2014.

17/02/2014: ARI Trieste (IQ3TS) will operate as II3MNA for the 11th Antarctic
Activity Week (17-23 February) from the Italian Antarctic Museum in Trieste,
Italy. QRV on all bands and modes. QSL via IQ3TS, bureau or direct (A.R.I. -
Sezione di Trieste, Via Louis Pasteur 16/1, Trieste, IT 34139, Italy), with SAE

17/02/2014: Max, IZ5BTC, will once again be active as II5ANT (WAP-025) from
Lucca, Italy, inthe 11th Antarctic Activity Week (17-23 February). Look for
activity on all bands and modes, propagation allowing. QSL via IZ5BTC, bureau or
direct (Massimo Simi, Via Sorbano del Vescovo 45/b - 55100 Lucca, Italy).

17/02/2014: IR2A is a "New Entry" for the next 11th Antarctic Activity Week.
This callsign, which has been used for the first time 25 years ago by IK2HTW
during one of the very first Antarctic celebrations is now been issued to
Giovanni Terzaghi Giovanni ("John") IK2JYT by the Ministry of Communication to
be used during the Antarctic Activity Week (17-23 February). IR2A will maintain
the original WAP reference WAP-003, issued on 1998. A nice opportunity though to
work WAP-003 after so many years! QSL IR2A via IK2JYT by the bureau or direct
(Giovanni Terzaghi, Via G. Verdi, 19, I-22070 Bulgarograsso (CO), Italy).

17/02/2014: Look for Cor, PA3FOE, to participate in the 11th Antarctic Activity
Week (17-23 February) using the special call PA6ANT. Activity will be on 80-10m
