WAB SC45) between 10-17 May, 2014. Plans are to be QRV on 40-10 metre CW, SSB

and some Digi-modes, with 2 QRO stations. The team will also activate some SOTA

10/05/2014: During the weekend of 10-11th May, using the callsign MX0INT, a

four man "Invoker Team" consisting Christian EA3NT, Vincent F4BKV, Gil F4FET and

Col MM0NDX plan to be active from the outer Farne island of Longstone (EU-109,

WAB NU23, Grid Loc. IO95). Activity will also count for the Longstone lighthouse

(BARLS A2814, ARLHS ENG-070, WLOTA 0234). At this stage it is likely the

activation will be during local daylight hours only, however they will strive

for a longer activation period when actually there, working with island

11/05/2014: Celebrating his 50th anniversary in Ham Radio, look for Haru,

JA1XGI, to be active with special call V650XG from the following islands: 9-15

May 2014 from Pohnpei Island (OC-010); sometime in mid-June from Kosrae Island

(OC-059, WLOTA 1569); First week in December 2014 from the Chuuk Islands

(OC-011); Possibly other islands. Haru plans to be QRV on 40-10 metre CW, SSB

12/05/2014: Gil, F4FET, plans to be active as MM/F4FET/p from the Isle of Mull

2014. QRV holiday style on the HF bands. Between 14-18th May, Gil plans to

activate the island of Lunga (IOSA FL07, SCOTIA CS37), Trenish Isles (EU-108),

in the Firth of Lorn, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. QRV only some hours of a day

13/05/2014: Fred, PA1FJ, will once again be active holiday style from Samos

callsign SV8/PA1FJ/p between 13-19 May 2014. Look for Fred to be active on 40-6

metre SSB and CW. Antennas will be the Buddistick vertical for 6/20m and the

14/05/2014: Five members of the Sands Contest Group from Morecambe, England,

will once again be visiting the island of Samos (EU-049, GIOTA SAS-006, MIA

MG-099, WLOTA 4163), for a holiday and DXpedition between 14-30th May 2014. The

group will be using the callsign SZ8S (kindly loaned to them by the Aegean Radio

Association), and operating from the Radio House at Zervou Point above Samos

town. Operators mentioned are Barrie G1JYB, Steve G1TLQ, Stephany G1LAT, Hughie

16/05/2014: Gert, ZS6AYU plans holiday-style activity as A25GF from Botswana

(WW Loc. KH22NE or KH22OD) between 16-18 May 2014. From 19-23 May, Gert will be

QRV as Z21GF from near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (WW Loc. KH22VB). QRV on 40-10

metre CW with 100W and AVQ640 vertical. The dates are tentative and depend on

0033, WW Loc. FK42XN), including the CQWW WPX CW Contest (24-25 May), as a

Single-Op/All-Band/? entry from CQ zone 9. Outside the contest John will be

active on 80-10 metre, including the WARC bands, mainly CW. QSL via WD9DZV and

22/05/2014: Dennis, W1UE and Rudy, N2WQ will be going to Roatan Island (NA-057,

WLOTA 1671), Honduras, between 22-28 May 2014 for the CQWW WPX CW Contest (24-25

May). Plans are to be a Multi-Single entry in the contest, using a barefoot K3

and a G5RV antenna. Contest call will probably be W1UE/HR9, unless they can get

06/06/2014: A 10-strong team of Belgian ops will be active from Albania as

ZA/ON6NB between 6-15th June 2014. Plans are to be QRV on 80-6m, CW, SSB, PSK

I am sorry to inform you that YE5T and YE5S have again been postponed due to

John YB5NOF's wife health condition. The boat roundtrip voyage is 2 weeks and

her condition is not satisfactory where John can leave her for that long.

Fear not though, Midai Island OC109 is going to be activated by Imam YB4IR/5

this month.

Let us support this dxpedition.

Imam is also going to Lingga Archipelago to activate Singkep Island YB4IR/5

also this month.

Adhi YB3MM/8 is active from Talaud Islands OC209, Salibabu (main island where

Lirung is located) and smaller islands around it including Saraaa Besar.

weekend from Waigeo Islands OC239 a new counter for Nusantara Award. YB9WZJ has
