YO, Romania:
YR10RRO draws attention to he 10th anniversary of the website
radioamator.ro. There will also be an award available.
WRTC results:
Manfred Wolf, DJ5MW, and Stefan von Baltz, DL1IAO, finished the
WRTC 2014 in Boston on 3rd place to their surprise. Preliminary
unchecked results showed them at position 5 only, but their
excellent log quality not only netted them a prize for the
cleanest
log, but also pushed them ahead of competitors during log
checking.
In the end they gained a margin of just 8000 points (equivalent
to
1 minute of operating time) over the runner-up team on place 4.
The other German teams are likewise happy with their results:
Suad,
DK6XZ, and Win, DK9IP, made it into the Top Ten, and Sandy
(DL1QQ)
and Irina (DL8DYL) moved up a few spots during log checking and
ended up placing 21st.
Tine, S50A, closed the event, appealing to the ham radio
community
to find a hosting country / region for the next scheduled WRTC
in
DXCC News:
