Cross Band Repeating

So, I have a TYT 9800 installed in my truck that is capable of cross band repeating for when I’m out hunting so I can hit the repeater in town. My question is what is the best way to setup the crossband, how should I do the memories on the mobile and my HT. Should I do 440 from the HT to the truck and then repeat to the repeater on 2m. How should I recieve from the repeater, through the truck or straight to the HT? Thanks for the help in advance guys.
