Internaational spoof?

I was testing a radio and came across this station really strong on 40 meters. I2VRN – a lot of US stations making contact. One station said he has heard him before. I can’t find the call on QRZ or QSL.NET. Because I can’t verify the validity of the call, I’m passing on trying to contact him. Anyone heard this guy, or veryfy that it is a valid call from Italy?
