Need recommendations for a Christmas gift.

I literally know nothing about Amateur Radio, but my boyfriend enjoys it. Right now I believe he owns a BaoFeng UV-82C Dual-Band 136-174/400-520 MHz FM Ham Two-way. Similar to this one on Amazon. http://ift.tt/2fkHoaN. What would be a good accessory or upgrade from this device? Any information would help.
