SDR antenna compatibility

I bought RTL-SDR.com’s v3 SDR. I have a copper j pole mounted and connected to my radio on my desk, I would rather use that than have to sit outside with my laptop to use the antennas that came with the SDR. Will my 2m/70cm copper j pole allow me full use of my SDR?
