8Q, Maldives:
Ted, JF1CCH, is going to visit Hulhumale (AS-013) from March 20 to
31 (including the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest). QRV as 8Q7TS on 40-10m

DL, Germany:
Lars, DL1LLL, is currently aboard the German research vessel Maria
S. Merian, en route from Las Palmas to Cadiz. QRV as DL1LLL/mm on

EA, Spain:
Special event station EH3DWN aims to raise awareness of the Down
Syndrome, operating in the context of the international Down
Syndrome Day (March 21) from March 14 to 27. QRV on 80-10m in SSB,

March 7 marked the 75th anniversary of the sinking of the Castillo
de Olite. The ship, built in 1921 in Rotterdam, was sunk by the
artillery battery La Parajola near the port of Cartagena, claiming
the lives of 1500 people. EH5HCO commemorates this incident on the
air from March 24 to 30. QSL via EA5GUQ.

FO/A, Austral Islands:
Don, G3BJ, Chris, G3SVL, Nigel, G3TXF, David, G3WGN, Don, G3XTT,
Hilary, G4JKS, and Justin, G4TSH, have teamed up to operate as TX6G
from Raivavae (OC-114, DIFO FO-122, WLOTA 2581). QRV from March 20
to April 1 (including the WPX contest) on 160-10m in CW, SSB, and
RTTY, using three complete rigs with amplifiers and vertical

Vlad, UA4WHX, has moved on in SOuth America and is now active as

Operators Frank, IZ7AUH, Fabrizio, IZ7LDC, Antonio, IK7WDS,
Simplicio, IK7EJT, and Leonardo, IZ7EDQ, all members of ARI Taranto
(IQ7UJ), are going to operate the special event station II7LDP/mm
(ARMI-1111) from aboard the submarine Luigi Durand de la Penne on
the weekend of March 22/23. The event honours the birthday of

KH2, Guam:
Dave, N2NL, Ed, KH2L, Joel, KG6DX, Danny, KH2JU und Cord, NH2KD,
will be taking over W1AW from Guam (OC-026, USi GU003S, WWFF

LZ, Bulgaria:
Special event station LZ136LO celebrates Bulgarian independence
from Turkish rule on the air until the month's end. QSL via LZ1KZA,

P4, Aruba:
John, W2GD, plans to get on the air from Aruba (SA-036) between
March 25 and 31 (including the WPX contest) as P40W. Look for him
every hour on 160, and every half hour on 80m; he also plans to
work on the WARC bands. QSL direct via N2MM, LoTW.

PA, Netherlands:
The Netherlands are going to host the 3rd Nuclear Security Summit
on March 24/25, drawing heads of states, politicians and
journalists from all over the world. PH2014NSS operates in the
context of this event from March 21 to 30. QSL via PA3EFR.

TI, Costa Rica:
Mike, W1USN (RNARS #3889), and Bob, AA1M, plan to get on the air
from Costa de Pajaros in Western Costa Rica as TI8/homecalls. QRV
from March 21 to April 1 on 80-10m in SSB, CW, PSK31 and probably
some RTTY. Mike also plans to join the WPX contest. QSLs via
homecalls, LoTW.

VU4, Andaman:
Krish, W4VKU, announces an activation by him of the Andaman Islands
as VU4K for March 23 to 30. QRV from Port Blair on 80-10m in SSB
and RTTY, running a 2 element SteppIR (including 30 and 40m), an
amplifier and maybe a Butternut vertical.

Announced frequencies:
SSB: 3680*, 7095, 14180, 18145, 21280, 24945 and 28480 kHz
RTTY: 3584*, 7044, 10142, 10142, 14084, 18104, 21084, 24922
and 28084 kHz *pending on availability of antenna

Krish plans to implement the following operating procedures.
From time to time he wants to restrict calling stations to

a) those aged 65 and older who still need VU4,
b) those calling for an ATNO,
c) stations running QRP.

He also asks for patience and cooperation when calling for
specific geographical regions of the world in order to
maximise QSOs on difficult propagation paths. QSL via W4VKU

XT, Burkina Faso:
Joe, JH3AEF (XT2AEF), Jusei, JA3IVU (XT2IVU), und Yuki, JA3VWT
(XT2VWT), are going to activate Burkina Faso from March 21 to 26 on
80-10m in CW, SSB, and digital modes. QSLs via homecalls.

ZL7, Chatham:
Barry, ZS1FJ (also 9V1FJ, ZL1MFW, G4MFW), Sandro, VE7NY, Franz,
OE2SNL (see DXNL 1875), and Graham, ZL1BMG, join forces and operate
as ZL7AAA from Chatham (OC-038, WLOTA 1627) from March 21 to 31.

ZS8, Marion Island:
Nadia, ZS8A, has recently begun to operate from Marion Island (same
station as ZS8C), and has been heard on 10m from around 14z to 16z

VK0HI Pirate:
The recent operations under the call VK0HI clearly are slim
activities. Hold on your QSL requests.

630m in France:
French amateurs in France and the French territories in ITU-Region
2 now have access to the 630m band (472kHz to 479kHz), with a
maximum EIRP of 1W.

snow-mobile expedition to the arctic island Litke. The team
