Dr. Remco, PA3FYM, has announced that he plans a DXpedition to Malawi and will be active as 7QNL (yes, that is the callsign) for 3 weeks in May and June. Remco received his license on February 11th. Remco informs OPDX that the activity will be from around May 18th, until June 10th. He will likely be in Malawi during the Presidential Elections, and plans to participate in the CQ WPX CW Contest (May 24-25th) with his special callsign (a prefix itself!; cf. 2014 CQ WPX rules) as a Single-Op entry. His planned activity will be on 80/40/30/20/17/15/12/10 meters using CW and SSB. Four Beverages are foreseen to try to optimize reception on the lower bands. Remco's efforts/DXpedition will include charity for a local project in the Blantyre area. His QSL Manager is PA1AW. More information will be forthcoming.
