Beginners guide after getting license?

I recently discovered Amateur Radio through a friend, and thought it was very fun to be able to contact people, have a callsign, and have something in case of emergency. I have been studying like crazy and am certain that I will pass both the Technician and General Class tests this weekend. I bought a handheld radio on amazon (BaoFeng UV-82HP). Are there any good guides out there for getting started monitoring and using the radio once I get my license? I’m not really interested in building my own gear. I just like the idea of contacting people and listening. Even after studying for the tests I have a hard time understanding what frequencies and basic procedures to use when making contact. Can anybody help me? Thanks!
