G, England:
     Members of the Verulam Amateur Radio Club (VARC) celebrate the
     900th jubilee of Sandridge in Hertfordshire with the call GB0SAN on
     June 21. During WWII an important monitoring station was located

     GB1TWG operates in the contest of the Tattoo of the Tunbridge Wells
     Girls' Grammar School Combined Cadet Force on june 27. The school
     is the largest girls-only cadet school in the UK. QRV on 80 and 40,

     Members of the Stirling & District Amateur Radio Society (GM6NX)
     operate GA700BOB during "Stirling's Big Weekend" on the 28th and
     29th. The event is part of the Bannockburn Live event during the

GD, Isle of Man:

     8N5CLEAN calls attention to he Clean Reception Environment Month.

     School-Culture-Festival Ibaraki Sobun 2014 during July.

     The amateur radio club JA5YEN from Ozu (pref. Ehime) celebrates its

     8J6GNB operates around the 69th Athletic Meet and the 14th Special
     Athletes Sports Competition from July to November.

JW, Svalbard:
     Yoshi (JJ8DEN, KH0PR) pays a visit to the club station JW5E on
     Spitzbergen (EU-026, WLOTA 0125, WW Loc. JQ78tf) from June 27 to

     Alexander, UA3IPL, will be active from Spitsbergen between June 26

     children in Arnheim with the call PG14MC. QRV until July 11 mainly

SP, Poland:
     The special event stations 3Z5KK and HF5KK remain active until
     October 31 on 40m in SSB. QSOs count towards the award V Kopcow

     SN0MPL operates during the Malopolska Air-Picknick, the largest
     air-show in southern Poland,taking place on a historic airfield.

SV5, Dodecanese:
     David, OK6DJ, is due to appear on the air holiday-style as
     SV5/OK6DJ from Rhodos (EU-001) between July 1 and 7. QRV with a QRP

TA, Turkey:
     Lars, LB2TB, operates as TA4/homecall between the 1st and 29th of

TF, Iceland:
     Gust, ON6KE, is going to operate holiday-style during morning and
     evening hours between June 27 and July 4 as TF/ON6KE (EU-021, WLOTA
     2975) operating JT65, SSB, and CW. QSL via LoTW, eQSL.

TK, Corsica:
     Alain, F1MDT, operates during morning and evening hours between the
     1st and 13th of July as TK/F1MDT on 40, 30, 15, and 12m in PSK,
     RTTY, and JT65. QSL via h/c.

UA, Russia:
     Radio amateurs from Sergiev Posad (WCA UA-00306, COTA-RU C-325, WW
     Loc. KO96bh) honour the memory of Sergius of Radonezh, a Russian
     Orthodox saint with the call R700SR, marking his 700th birthday.
     QRV until August 15 on HF in SSB, CW, and digital modes, and on 2m

     IOTA Contest (July 26/27) as V49J. His YL Cathy (W5HAM) might
     occasionally appear on the bands as V47HAM. Both run a TS590 with a
     500W amplifier, a vertical antennas for 80-10m and a shortened

VE, Canada:
     Special event station CK2I commemorates the Quebec Conference of
     1864, where delegates discussed Canadian Confederation. QRV during
     the whole month of July. The NA128 Contest Group will use the call
     for an entry in the IOTA contest from Ile-aux-Grues (NA-128, CIsA

     VX6100EMP celebrates the 100th anniversary of the village Empress

     Mike, SQ3PMM, and his girlfriend are riding their "rainbow truck"
     all the way ro Africa and get on the air while doing so.

ARISS:
     The high school of Markt Indersdorf in Germany eagerly awaits its
     chance for a contact with the ISS on Thursday (1208z to 1219z).
     Pupils have prepared a set of 20 questions that will be answered by
     the German astronaut Alexander Gerst (KF5ONO) under the call
     DP0ISS.

Silent Key:
     Martyn, G3RFX, died on June 20. He was a member of the CDXC
     committee. In his professional live, Martyn was a moderator with
     the British Forces Broadcasting Service. Lately he also taught in
     the University of Bristol's School of Modern Languages. He was
     frequently to be met on the air as ZB2FX and 8P9FX.

     Wes Wysocki, SP2DX, died on June 15 aged 82. He first became a ham
     in 1948 (SP8XA) and represented the Polish national club PZK at
     meetings and conferences of IARU Region 1.

     Our thoughts are with their families and friends. We are sorry for
     their loss.

     OH0/OH4SS between the 28th and 30th on 40 and 17m in SSB from
     Brando Island (WW Loc.: KP00mk). QSL via OH4SS, direct only.

EU-076; LA; Lofoten Islands: Wolf/DM2AUJ announces a holiday-style
     activity from June 25 to July 13 as LA/DM2AUJ. QRV on HF mainly in
     CW, but also some RTTY and PSK. QSL via DM2AUJ (d/B).

     NA-062; W4; Florida State (Florida Keys) State group: Bill/K5WL
     will be vacationing on the Florida Keys from the 21st to the 28th.
     QRV as K5WL/4 on 30 and 40m in CW running 5 watts. QSL via K5WL
     (d/B).

Greenland tour by Michael (DB5MH):
     Michael/DB5MH plans a 280km solo tour through Greenland during
     July. The whole tour is a charity activity supporting a BMX and
     skate park in Thedinghausen. His route will lead him through the
     western part of the island where he hopes to activate NA-018
     (Greenland) and NA-220 (Greenland Coastal's Islands South West).
     About half of the tour he has to rely on a lightweight dingy, which
     he also has to carry over land together with all his provisions and
     rig. He will be running a solar-powered FT817, signing OX/DB5MH.
     His pilot station will be Harald, DJ2II, from Bremen. Michael
     expects to get on the air not before 20z.

     for latest updates of the IOTA directory and recent changes in the
     IOTA programme. Rule changes are also available at
     http://www.g3kma.dsl.pipex.com/. It is expected that during the
     IOTA Convention on the first weekend of July 10 new IOTA groups
     will be named.
