TX6G update

Don, G3XTT, sent out the following update:
31st March 2200 UTC -- LAST 24 HOURS.
We are just starting on the last 24 hours of our operation. We expect to close operations around 2200 UTC on Tuesday 1st April. Until then we will continue with operating as normal (including, all being well, one more session on 15 RTTY). We hope to catch the greyline to Europe on 80 CW and will be there for 1st April evening opening to Europe on the high bands (which went well again today). We expect to end with a QSO total in excess of 70,000, net of dupes.
We thank you all for making this an enjoyable trip for us. On the whole the pile-up discipline has been good and we have enjoyed some excellent propagation, somewhat better than we had expected.
We will post a summary after we have closed down but it probably won’t be until Thursday or even Friday, once we are in Visalia (for the DX Convention). Wednesday we will be in Tahiti and will probably do some sightseeing, then an overnight to Los Angeles where we will collect hire cars and drive to Visalia, arriving late Thursday.
The very first TX6G presentation will be at the GMDX Convention in Scotland on Saturday 12th April. We will also write some articles for various club newsletters, etc. As also indicated previously, if you have log queries, we will deal with these when we are back in the UK. There is no need to write again if you have already contacted us about this.
Again, thanks to one and all – without your QSOs we would have had to be on the beach with a cold beer! If you want a QSL card, either direct or via Bureau, please do use Clublog’s OQRS facility – we much prefer it to receiving physical cards, which we simply do not need.
